Afternoon Everyone! Just wanted to make a quick introduction.
New to the group! New to owning a Mustang! First EV as well!
Just ordered my Mach-E from my local dealer a couple days ago. So now the agonizing wait begins. Estimated delivery 12 - 16 weeks.
Ordered the Premium, AWD, Standard battery, Shadow Black.
In total honesty I wouldn't consider myself to be a car guy. I've never really had loyalty to any particular manufacture or model. But, I have been very interested in EVs, keeping watch over the industry as a whole for a while. I was very excited when the Mach-E came on the scene. For me, it was the first EV that I was really excited about. I love the look, the tech and the price point made it possible for me to really consider purchasing my first EV.
I have read and watched just about any an all content and reviews I can find. As with all things, there are pros and cons influenced by the reviewer. But, the car has been getting overall very positive reviews and I felt like it was probably going to be the right fit for me. Then, I finally got a chance to drive it the other day. I've been talking to our local dealership for the last month, once I knew they had their one demo car coming soon. I was the first person they called once it came off the transport and through detail. After getting in the drivers seat, before I ever putting it in drive... I was sold! Driving it was just added confirmation that I made the right choice for me.
Very much excited to take delivery of this car. I've already got "car guy" friends giving the smack talk about if it's a Mustang or not. LOL. For me, I'm still undecided about using the Mustang name. I get the debate among die hard Mustang guys. But, after I drove it, it didn't even matter to me at that point. I loved it for what it was. Looking forward to being a member of the forum and learning from you all, getting tips and tricks and just being part of something I hope will be as special as I think it could be.
