I've tried the 4X buckle/unbuckle method mentioned in the manual and the referenced YT video several times. Nothing changes. What gives?

I always put my seatbelts on unless I'm driving a short distance super slow, like in a parking garage.

Also, I can't imagine why in the latest version of Sync the seatbelt visual confirmation on the driver display needs to remain visible for a full minute after you've buckled and started driving. Yes, you can press the steering wheel "OK" button to remove it, but the fact this wasn't there before and was added seems odd and slightly annoying.

The buckling and unbuckling thing does not eliminate the initial 4 seatbelt warning chimes that sound immediately after starting the car, but it does eliminate the intermittent seatbelt warning chimes that sound later throughout your drive. Worked that way for me, and many others. If you are not even getting the intermittent chimes disabled, then there must be something wrong.

The Owner's Manual for 2025 gives the same instructions for turning off the seatbelt reminder.
It may have to be edited out if that's the case with a future APIM update. The 2025 Mach E is pretty different in architecture. New SCCM, new cluster, different HVAC and a different IPMA with a 5th strategy location just to name a few things. I don't think anyone has even started to scratch the surface on the 2025's yet.

Are you saying that the seatbelt reminder on/off option has been removed from the 2025s? Or that you don't know yet?
Oh, I certainly don't know. However, if the gentleman that responded to you hinted toward that, then the possibility is very high. ;)

Well, that gentleman (or lady) seemed to be just speculating. The OP did say he was unable to disable the reminder, but lots of people - including me - have been confused as to what the buckling/unbuckling procedure actually accomplishes. I suppose the jury is still out on this one.

I always wear my seat belt anyway so the whole thing is moot point in my book .

The procedure is supposed to disable the seatbelt reminder, but it is not working. This is usually the part where I waltz into a thread dancing to the tune of FORScan, but who knows if even that will work? Ford hard-coded the BC 1.4 software on the F150s/Lightnings so that lane centering nor BC will work without the seatbelt plugged in. Maybe they coded this out so it no longer works? Who knows, but someone on the Ford product development team is obviously very gung ho about seatbelts.

In terms of the guy speculating? I will tell you what someone told me told me on Lightning forum some time ago:

Sometimes you just gotta trust the source.

I was just gonna say, Forscan that bitch

I too always wear my sealtbelt, it’s just sometimes you disconnect in a parking garage/lot, pulling into your driveway, your passenger needs to disconnect for a second and don’t need the car blasting beeping noises which only serves to be even more distracting.

I’m not into the nanny aspect of these “aids”

What is the 5th strategy location? Wonder if this is a requirement for BC1.5?

No idea, but it is possibly tied to it. Due to a few convos I've had with a few people much more knowledgeable than I am, I am inclined to say it is not needed for 1.5, but can't say with certainty.
