It was a difficult race this year due to high winds, which resulted in the top of the mountain being closed and the race being shortened to the lower half of the road course only. Which is unfortunate, because electric cars excel on the upper section of the course since they don't lose power. Romain Dumas in the Super Mustang Mach-E won its class, but placed second overall behind Simone Faggioli.

Go to time 3:48:12 to see the Super Mach-E run. Fastest run in Pikes Peak Open class, second fastest of the day. 4:00:05 for interview with driver Romain Dumas. And go to 3:33:15 for a live on-board view of the hill climb from another car, first time that's ever been broadcast.
