Bluecruise cuts out at turnpike tolls?

I get that they would want the self driving stuff to cancel in a toll plaza... But why cancel when the toll is collected electronically? What I experienced was on the turnpike in fl where they have eliminated toll plazas and went with toll by plate or transponder and you just drive normal speed under some detection devices it cuts out briefly every time. Seemed odd to me.

Same problem for me when I tested on I90 across upstate NY when I still had the 90 day trial. Very obviously no obstacle or anything remaining that might have been a toll plaza - but you could even zoom in on their BC coverage map and see the tiny gaps where it cuts out. One of the (though small, in this case) reasons I never bothered to purchase BC.

It was so brief, a couple of times I didnt even have time to put my hands back on the wheel. Seems like an easy fix in software. I really enjoyed driving with the bluecrusie, even with its little hiccups. I tell folks its like supervising someone whos been driving about 2 years.

Completely normal. Stupid, but normal. BlueCruise continues to be the most disappointing tech I’ve ever spent money on.

We have toll gantries on I90 here in Mass. Bluecruise always requests that you put your hands on the wheel when approaching them and quickly after passing through them. These gantries use infrared cameras/lighting to photograph the license plates of cars without transponders. Ford's explanation is that the infrared on the gantries AND the infrared on your steering column that watches your eyes interfere with each other. As a result, they ask you to put your hands on the wheel when you encounter an toll gantry.
