Edit/Update: it all works now! Hooray!
I got a new 2025 Mach E premium AWD extended 10 days back. It came with a NACS adapter. Because I’m in the middle of Ohio and sometimes have to drive through the middle of nowhere in Ohio with not a lot of good chargers, I was excited for superchargers.
I tried at 2 different superchargers that should work, according to FordPass and the Tesla app. Neither plug and charge nor activating in the FordPass or Tesla app works. Tesla app eventually says not that the car can’t charge at superchargers at the moment. Got my dealership to swap out the adapter in case that’s the problem - it wasn’t.
Talked to Ford again today and - they said very newly built Mach Es can’t charge at the supercharger for now. Something something Tesla needs to fix something. No timeline, no announcement. Mine was built in May 2025 and apparently doesn’t work.
anyone heard anything about this? I tried posting on Reddit but that was not a fruitful discussion. Could this be a thing?
