2025 Mach-E Premium AWD extended range
Edit/Update: it all works now! Hooray!

I got a new 2025 Mach E premium AWD extended 10 days back. It came with a NACS adapter. Because I’m in the middle of Ohio and sometimes have to drive through the middle of nowhere in Ohio with not a lot of good chargers, I was excited for superchargers.

I tried at 2 different superchargers that should work, according to FordPass and the Tesla app. Neither plug and charge nor activating in the FordPass or Tesla app works. Tesla app eventually says not that the car can’t charge at superchargers at the moment. Got my dealership to swap out the adapter in case that’s the problem - it wasn’t.

Talked to Ford again today and - they said very newly built Mach Es can’t charge at the supercharger for now. Something something Tesla needs to fix something. No timeline, no announcement. Mine was built in May 2025 and apparently doesn’t work.

anyone heard anything about this? I tried posting on Reddit but that was not a fruitful discussion. Could this be a thing?

My 2025 Premium was built on April 29th I believe. My recent road trip had no problems whatsoever - three Tesla charger stops all worked flawlessly.

It could be that Ford had to get a new MAC address prefix for their modems. Tesla uses the MAC prefix to indicate approved vehicle brands.

Ah! I was wondering if it’s something like that. That definitely would make sense. I’m pretty relaxed now, but when I did the first long drive and counted on the supercharger I wasn’t very amused :D can’t wait to test it now!

Having exactly the same issue. Got my mach e a week a go. It's still not working as of now.

Did you try 150 KW Tesla supercharger ? Or 250 KW ?
On 150 KW older mach e can’t charge . Maybe the same is with the new one with NACS port ..

I’m sure the SuperCharger was compatible. But thanks for the suggestion!

It is possible the authentication is certificate based, and there was a change in the authority chain that needs to get published to the Tesla backend.

Doesn't make it any less frustrating. I had a similar issues with IONNA back in May, but that was resolved when I went back to the same site a few weeks later.

I have the same model as the OP, I picked it up on July 8th, I think, probably an April build. I was able to use Superchargers all over UT, AZ, & CO. Already put 3,200 miles on it.
