Charge MME using Tesla Adapter - not working

Hello, I have received my Tesla Adapter. I tried to charge using a Tesla charger and nothing happened. I'm not sure if I can only use certain Tesla Chargers or do I need to download an app. Please help as there is a ton of Tesla chargers around me.

At a minimum, you need to ensure you have Plug and Charge configured for you car.

You can also activate Tesla Superchargers using the Tesla app. This will require downloading the app and creating an account. You will need to provide an active payment option.

First thing I would do is verify using the Tesla app, Supercharger website, FordPass app, or other source like PlugShare (Tesla will be the ultimate source of truth) that the site you tried to use allowed non-Tesla access.

Any V2 Supercharger (silver ring on plug) will not be accessible to any non-Tesla. Most of the rest will, but there are some of the V3 and V4 sites that are still exclusive to Tesla.

Need more info. Is your adapter for DCFC (Supercharger) or level 2?
For Superchargers, check PlugShare to see if the one you want to use is open to non-Tesla.

the tesla adapter ford is sending only works on gen 3 and gen 4 tesla dc superchargers. Also, make sure your blue oval network is configured in fordpass (credit card info added etc). This can be found under "connected services" i fordpass. TO get there click on the person icon upper right corner, opens up a page, click "connected services" then you'll scroll down to "blue oval network"

I have noticed that plugshare will show v2 chargers so I always double check the Tesla app to make sure it's open to us bottom feeders ?

I had the problem when I first tried adapter. Turned out dealer needed to update software.
