After 4 months of waiting on my special order, my GT arrived, and I somewhat sadly say goodbye to my 21 Premium which served me somewhat flawlessly. Other than the $100 battery self installed from Rock Auto, I never spent a dime on maintenance.

Will I miss some of the idiosyncrasies of my 21?. The ride is much better, especially since I bled some of the 49 psi that it was delivered with down to 42 psi on a 100 degree day. (Mexican air illegally brought over the border?)

Some facts and observations:

Even without the performance upgrade, I can feel the added torque., though the performance upgrade may be in my future.

I noted that the front doors are not popping open from the outside, but rather just release, forcing me to pull them open. Defect or change? The rears react like my 21.

Also, the GOM at 97% is initially showing nearly 300 miles of range. We shall see where that heads with the "normal" driving that killed the Michelins in 23,000 miles on my 21 at trade in time.

I negotiated $21,300 on my trade versus $21,000 from CarMax and $21,700 from Carvana, though indicated no damage, but my Ford dealer pointed out a severe door ding requiring possibly repainting the whole rear door. For simplicity, I took the dealer offer, which was still better than CarMax. My bet is that the trade in price has been somewhat depressed so that the deal can still make a reasonable profit while keeping the resale price under $25k to give the buyer a $4k rebate. That plan expires 9/30, so it will be interesting to see where future trade in value lands.

With the 3 year lease, there was a $6,000 rebate plus $500 in lieu of the charger program. Also two years of free maintenance (wow! tire rotations?) I kept my wet weather floor and cargo mats purchased after the fact for my 21 with FordPass points, and the no longer included cargo cover.

I am looking forward to the journey with the 25 GT, and hope it is as rewarding as my 21 was.

Very, very nice.

Now, can we please get those window stickers (windscreen and driver door window) off? 🤣

I have pretty good peripheral vision, and the one on the driver's side window was driving me crazy. The one in the windshield is the California temporary registration. For the $700+ registration fee, one would think California would color match it to the car.

Starting in 2024, the front door poppers were removed since the front doors have handles. The rear doors still need them since there are no handles on the rear doors. 😁🐩

Even if someone researching the
Mach-E did NOT do a deep dive on this forum, and subsequently get sucked into the love/hate minutiae, it should speak loudly to them how common it is for a Mach-E owner to repeat their purchase after a lengthy ownership of their first.

Having owned mine for just 1.5 years, I'm not surprised at all either.

Beautiful looking Mach E, I hope your ok with the frunk shrinkage.
Tesla adapter, small tool kit for whatever, TP, a sweatshirt, and a cheap raincoat which hopefully covers the most likely scenarios (except for the TP).

Familiarity factored in, but looking at the other options, it was hard to sway me from a ride I truly enjoyed. I could have easily gone several more years with the 21 with no regrets. The competition's faster charging would have probably only saved me a couple of hours over the last 3.5 years since my garage is my typical charge port.

I am not sure what those crease marks are on the grille and surround in the picture, but after a quick run into my garage, they are not there in real life...Ahh, they are a reflection of the driveway control joints!

Congrats. I made the same switch 3 months ago (also to the green/bronze), and have been very happy. I didn't order mine, and it came with all options including the performance package. Unless you plan on drag racing or want to launch it to impress (or induce nausea) in passengers, I'd say you can skip it.

I don't miss the auto-parking feature which I never used, but kinda miss the larger frunk (don't really need the heat pump in SoCal) and the kick-to-raise hatch feature.

I love Blue Cruise 1.5 and the new instrument cluster display, but just realized a few days ago that the compass is now buried in the nav screen, only if you don't have a route planned (and I don't use the built-in nav).

Does the 25 GT offer the hands free liftgate like the '21?

Thanks for that info. I don't ever recall even trying to use auto-park since my wife and I are pretty good parallel parkers after 60ish years of experience. The kick to open feature was occasionally helpful, but I deactivated it for most of its life because the hatch would sometimes open when I walked past the rear of the car, without ever even stepping under the bumper. There were also a few times when I found it open in the garage for no apparent reason. If that happened in a bad area, I could only guess the results. I agree on the heat pump also. I didn't know they buried the compass, which is a handy feature. I only used BluCruise on my 21 driving the 60 freeway one time, I was was more nervous than the twitchiness it offered immediately next to the concrete divider. I will give this one a try. Cheers!
