Wrapped my Mach-E grille in carbon fiber vinyl

Happy Saturday Mach E club! Sometimes things look just too good not to share. I thought I would show y’all my carbon fiber “grille” wrap on my ‘23 Premium Vapor Blue.

Where did you buy the wrap?

I did something similar. Instead of carbon fiber mine is smooth piano black to match the wheel trim, etc. on my Premium, which I then covered with Paint Protection Film over the entire bumper. That will enable the blacked-out part to last for 10 years or more.

I do wish the Vapor Blue was available when I purchased my 2021 Job 1, as I would have done that instead.

Very nice. I want to do something similar on my white premium to give it more of a GT look and also protect from road rash.

Have you also considered piano black or flat black on the lower spoiler, what I call the mustache? That is what I am considering. I think it would look better and again, protect from road rash.

I'm sorry. Adding something that looks like a part used because it's light and saves weight just runs me the wrong way.

But if it floats your boat, have at it!

I had this done at Tint World for less than $500. I originally wanted a carbon fiber texture like the OP, however the experts at Tint World convinced me otherwise. They suggested that "naked" vinyl wrap in this area would have a shortened life with all the abrasion that comes from stones, insects, etc. Further, using PPF to protect the vinyl would extend its life by many years, but that would not adhere well enough to a non-smooth surface like a simulated carbon fiber. So the entire bumper and "grill" are protected with a self healing film that has a 10 year guarantee, and the piano black "mustache area" is a great match for the rest of the vehicle's trim areas.

that's a great look!

I just had my grille wrapped in gloss black I debated carbon but I'm happy how the black matches the rest of the gloss black trim.

Also the wrap shop only charged me $50

I was surprised the front plate bracket is riveted on with 2 plastic rivets and 1 big metal one in the bottom center. Luckily the guy said he could go around if I didn't want to drill them out.
