This was taken at the shelter on the way home. Unfortunately I had to take him back because of a severe allergic reaction from a family member when we got home. He was a very good boy.

My mum showed back in the 60s I believe Tim B used to groom themPrior to the MME, but kind of counts since he was the inspiration for my screen name. Ch. Howie who won a Major AKC show on the first day he was legal to show, made his first field retrieves a few weeks later, finished his AKC Ch. On his 9 month birthday, and amassed a few thousand birds in the freezer.

AKC requires 2 (3 points or higher) a total of 15. Let’s not get into the grands. My Papillon retired GCHP2. Grand champion platinum 2CKC or AKC G.Ch? The rules are a little different, but in a nutshell, they complete their Championship, then continue to show. They have to defeat enough other finished Champions of your breed or variety in order to rack up points. Rack up enough points, and you get the G.Ch. title. There are levels of Grand Champions as well, attained by defeating more and more dogs. I’m a little fuzzy on the details since my hands-on showing was with Howie and Rowdy, before the G.Ch. schemes were created. Grady came to me as a G.Ch.
