I encountered a new bug (for me) yesterday. My son was driving, and we were pulling out of a parking spot to drive home. The windows were completely fogged up, so I tried to hit the "Max Defrost" on the screen, but it wouldn't turn on. The rear defrost would, but not the max defrost. I had to...
They should put a warning on the car that it may increase the severity and incidence of OCD behavior in those who have been diagnosed with OCD or may have underlying undiagnosed OCD. Like the flickering lights epilepsy warning for shows and video games.
I agree 500% with "Less YouTube and other media apps and games, more focus on fixing bugs." Those are blatant concessions to external business partners at the expense of serving the immediate needs of the (hopefully) loyal customers who've bought the cars. I think it's shortsighted, but it's...
They definitely have tons of room for improvement. I agree it SHOULD be better, but it IS hard (if it's not simple, and what we have access to in our cars isn't simple...) For Ford, this is also a HUGE cultural shift. I'm not making excuses for them, but I definitely went into Mach-E ownership...
You're right, we shouldn't have to do that, but software is software. I had to do a factory reset multiple times for my 2019 Honda Insight to clear up CarPlay problems, general freezes, etc... As we cram more requirements in because consumers want them, the systems try to be "everything to...
We’re an active and well-informed community of owners here. There are many more owners in the world than there are are members of these forums. I tend to doubt that OP has the only occurrence of this scenario.
Definitely buggy. Your best bet is rebooting sync by holding the “volume down” and “next track” buttons on the right of the steering wheel. Takes a few (too many) seconds, but may clear up some bad behavior. Not guaranteed. Also, restarting the phone that won’t connect may help…
It means click the link about contacting a guide in the post that you replied to from @Mach-Lee above. Tells you all you need to know, straight from Ford themselves.
I have my TP widget on all the time. With wide temperature fluctuations at this time of year in New England, it’s smart to keep a close eye on tire pressure for both safety and efficiency reasons.
This happened to me many years ago. Couldn’t find my wife, used “Find My Friends”, it told me she was at the business of the guy she’s married to now. She insisted she wasn’t there. Never found out what the glitch was with her GPS.
Last night, 28 degrees Fahrenheit, 9.8-mile trip home from Target, staying off the highway, 5.2 mi/kWh. Used climate control (auto, 68 degrees) only a couple of times for a minute or so to defrost the windows.
Now on iOS 16.1.2 and PowerUp 3.6.1. CarPlay has become messy, especially with more than one phone in or near the car. Despite numerous reboots, there’s still no remaining distance displayed on the IP from Apple Maps and, because I guess it’s assumed that the IP should display remaining...
OP is talking about indicated mi/kWh. Forget about the GOM. It's silly, and very stubborn. Even in 30-degree (F) weather, I can eke out 3.5+ mi/kWh, sometimes higher, by favoring local roads, driving at or slightly above the speed limit, accelerating judiciously, etc., but the GOM stays...
I don’t trust EV.energy (the app developer) or SmartCar (the API developer) very much at all. I had this issue, and it persisted even after I disconnected and had EV.energy make sure that the connection was truly removed from my account. The only way I finally stopped the error from happening...
