Force close repeatedly on my Pixel 6 Pro, Jun update of Android 12. Ford Pass has been rendered not usable after updating to 4.17
Pity anyone with this issue using paak exclusively and then updated the app while on the go!
I returned to 4.16 and had my fob available. But good grief...
My FE recently went in to get 1.7.1 unstuck, and they had to replace the APIM. Then for BlueCruise to successfully install at the dealership, every single module in the vehicle had to be flashed, per Ford Engineering advice.
It wasn't a week or two later that 2.8.2 came in OTA, followed after...
After TSB fix for OTA stuck and Blue Cruise functionality for my FE, I haven't seen car location on the Ford Pass app, while phone location is there. Everything's enabled on both car and phone that I can see. Annoying.
Not sure if the dealership updates did something, or if it was coincidental.
Yup, verified that location sharing is indeed toggled on in the vehicle. Still no joy in the FP app -- phone located, not vehicle.
On a more on-topic note, I just received 2.8.2 last night so OTA does now work after the tsb was applied!
Thanks for replying, but I don't see a way to do what you described in the map mode of the current version of Ford Pass app.
Furthermore, even if I could do that, it would be easier for me to just say "Hey Google, remember where I parked". However, both the Google command and the pin drop in...
This is annoying -- that's actually a function I use to tell me which of the 4 huge parking lots at work I've last parked at... Because, yes, I need this accommodation for my increasingly fabulous memory
Bought mine from Zeigler.
With glass recalls, ota stuck update, blue cruise update, other minor issues, it's spent 3 weeks in the dealership, which indicated that Ford would only have paid for a fraction of the rental car costs. Given the price of rentals these days, I've already made up for how...
Would you mind telling us
- which system update?
- what brand and model of charger was rendered obsolete?
After applying TSB 22-2150 and the Blue Cruise update at the dealership, my First Edition is now refusing to charge (repeated "charge station fault") on a JuiceBox Pro40 which it had no...
If you are considering a Ford extended warranty, buy it online within a year's time of your vehicle purchase. Got mine from Zeigler. With the PAYINFULL discount code, a 5yr/60k-mile, $100-deductible warranty with first day upgraded rental was nearly $1000 less than what my local dealership...
Update to my narrative, begun on post #444.
Good news! After spending exactly one week in the dealership, the vehicle got a new APIM installed, it's showing sync v364, Blue Cruise worked on test drive, and my lane centering thankfully remains intact.
I think the technician, Brandon, will...
Because TSB 22-2117 didn't succeed the week before, the APIM was replaced on Ford's field service engineering's direction this past Tuesday, and the dealership technician has been doing updates ever since. This includes the Blue Cruise updates, and the service advisor just reported that there's...
Well, the local dealership has had it for about 7 hrs now and TSB 22-2117 is not going through.
The technician was on the telephone with a Ford Field Service Engineer (FSE) who warned him not to try repeating it 5x or face the week-long lockout. According to the service advisor I spoke with, he...
Looking at what's trying to get done (the operational steps of the fix), It's not that effin' hard, people.
But the TSB is written hideously poorly.
It's organized and formatted in a manner that is both confusing and obstructs cognitive flow.
I've actually written update procedures for...
I was bewildered that the equivalent GM app for my girlfriend's Chevy Bolt perpetually failed to update to show current charging details while FordPass clearly did on my Mach-E.
And now Ford Pass has DEGENERATED, DEGRADED, DEVOLVED (whatever you want to call it) to that degree of incompetence...
Yup, plugged in since last night 7 hrs ago, but no battery info on Ford Pass for 15hrs
@Ford Motor Company, what the heck?
Why is it that your software updates seemingly have a coin-flip's chance (50%) of degrading core, mission-critical performance as opposed to improving it?
Like it or not...
Ford Pass is not refreshing current car status as I write this post. Sitting at an Electrify America charging without issue (PnP worked!) but the Ford Pass app doesn't show me charging, and only has "updated 2hrs ago" with repeated pull to refresh. If there's a server outage, please tweet...
You could be right. But my service advisor appeared to imply that the dealership's body shop corrected external mistakes. I could be misinterpreting what he meant, but I'm just glad it all turned out OK.
Now just waiting for the mothership to issue a fix for the APIM issue with ota 1.7.1.
