Just wanted to update and close out this thread.
A week after I picked up the vehicle from Fairview Ford regarding the glass recall work and discovered the trim issues, door clicks, and off kilter passenger-side wiper, the door strike replacement parts arrived.
Fairview gave me a rental for...
You could try this:
- setup Bluetooth pairing with your phone as you normally would
- then turn the vehicle off completely
- on your phone:
=get into Android Auto app settings (Settings>Apps>See all apps>Android Auto>Advanced>See additional settings)
=scroll down to Version and start tapping...
Thank you -- that's what I thought I remember.
They don't retract anymore. Oh, I can manually push them back down when the car is off, but when I turn the vehicle on, both wipers actuate, with the passenger-side moving into the same weird position. And this is with the wiper stem still in the...
Thanks for confirming the wiper out of position. Hope it's a quick fix next week... I've had too many trips to the dealer.
Truth be told, I probably wouldn't have been as concerned about the trim if the clicking noise wasn't a such an issue for me (in particular -- I'm somehow sensitive to...
Have to give credit where credit is due -- Fairview fixed the trim in about an hour and ordered door parts to address the clicking noise. Should take about a week for the parts to arrive. Fingers crossed.?
After leaving the dealership today, something else was brought to my attention that I'm...
Thanks, I tried what you suggested, but no joy -- clips are either broken or missing -- as the part just hangs loose at the top.
I largely agree with you...don't know why either!?
But I figured the community might respond or react with an idea or suggestion I hadn't thought of, or advice that...
I was hesitant to do the glass recall work for the windshield and the panoramic sun roof because neither my windshield or roof was causing any issues for me. And there was the chance of something happening -- like the horror stories on this forum about scratched glass, torn upholstery, etc --...
The answer lies in your ability to use Google Assistant. In other words, how how well you already integrate Google Assistant into your life/daily routine determines the functionality of Android Auto for you while driving.
I use Google Assistant all the time:
"Add something to my calendar...
What I would suggest as a step before uninstalling Ford Pass (FP) is that you FORCE STOP it when you're not going to be using it. Let's say you use PAAK, get to work and then don't worry about your car till the end of the workday. Force stop FP after getting to work, and just before you go home...
Ford points its finger at Google, which sticks out its tongue and points back.
Yeah. Let's just say I'm not hopeful this will happen before, I don't know, pigs fly.
Agree that the backup start code should work 100% of the time once it's been set. The code is a failsafe, for crying out loud. The failsafe should not, you know, FAIL...
Having said that, it has failed for me within a week of owning the vehicle, in the last week of January. It was like I never...
Just wondering if any of you who deliberately leave (and hide) your fob in the car, relying on the combo on the driver's door for locked exit and subsequent entry, also take the additional step of putting that fob in a Faraday cage before concealing it somewhere within the car..?
Seems like a...
Although I do have a dedicated 14-50 outlet installed, I chose to purchase the Splitvolt 14-50 (portable) charger over more established brands like the Grizzl-e and JuiceBox (which my girlfriend owns) because of the low price point.
I was impressed by the customer support provided by this small...
The thing that kills range in cold weather is the cold affecting the battery itself and then powering the resistive heater to warm up the humans in the cabin.
I'd put money down that the government-rated range is under ideal environmental conditions and with nothing running like the heater/ac...
Personally, this vehicle's HVAC behavior is infuriating and my #1 complaint on this car, mainly because while I might use PAAK once in a week, I will adjust hvac every single time I'm in the car.
Just try toggling the AC within the first 30 seconds to minute of starting the vehicle (without...
Thanks for sharing!
Are you referring to the 12v in the center console BIN, which is a solid piece of plastic? The only way out of that thing without drilling holes is to have the cables powering the LEDs coming out of the top, near the front so that the sliding cover can mostly close... Is...
Yup, which brings me to why I don't like the built-in navigation choice to not show green as normal.
I understand why normal flow is not a different color (like green), as it makes the display less cluttered. The eye is drawn to the highlighted colors that are abnormal flows, and that's what...
The answer is that the built-in navigation does NOT show traffic conditions in green, orange, and red... because it doesn't show GREEN.
If there's no slowdowns, the map will have essentially the same display seen with traffic conditions toggled off. Which I actually don't like, so my...
Amazon warns this won't fit a Mach E.
Balderdash. I have it on both my fobs right now. (Yes, I bought a spare)
