Awesome, thanks again!
I was hoping for a more driver focused design. I like Tesla, but they seem a bit cold and sterile.
I'm also glad the fit and finish is good. I haven't been this excited since the reveal.
OP: First, thanks for this! This is awesome!
Sorry if this has been asked, but how is the fit and finish?
Also, how are the buttons and dial, does it feel nice? Tactile?
Lastly, does it feel luxury at all, other than the Model Y/3 does it remind you of another car?
So if they're getting 300 to 350 on 88/(or99kwh) then the Mach E configurator is conservative at about 30 to 100 kwh/mi BELOW real world use. Am I reading that right?
Meaning the premium long range AWD @ 88 got at least 300 miles, when it was rated for 270 miles.
If the GT could get at least...
I like the MME because it has character/heritage.
I like the design better.
I like the "underdog" nature of Ford going against Tesla in this space.
I like the second screen in front of the driver.
I like Apple Car Play/Android Auto.
I'm hoping the driving dynamics are as good if not...
I drove an 89 Ford Probe in the 90's as well. It was in an accident early in its life, so it had some issues, but it was my first car so I'll always remember it.
Pretty crazy how real this looks.
In any case I'm not a fan of the seats in the video...if they are for the GT.
I'm much more of a fan of the GT seats on the reservation configurator. I'm hoping that those aren't just for the "Performance" model.
This is just speculation but I think Ford is underestimating range. Much like Chevy and the Bolt's range.
Tesla per their forums seems to, in some cases, grossly overestimate their range.
I've seen some forum posts that only get 230-250 miles per tank with their Model Y when they are rated at...
I was strongly considering a Model Y for our second car, but everything I've read shows that the range on the Y is overestimated by a pretty big amount.
If, and it's a big if, the MME is underestimating it's range, much like the Chevy Bolt, then I'd feel a lot better getting the MME.
The idea...
I love the new Bronco too. If I needed an off-road type vehicle, I'd consider it. I'd consider it more if it was an EV.
If the Mach E does well and Ford is able to lead the "legacy" US automakers in EV, and spread out the technology to their entire line-up I agree; the stock will skyrocket.
In general I usually try and park far away from other cars; it helps get in some exercise.
But to your point I'm a bit worried about bad attention in general. When I owned a WRX everyone wanted to race and rev their engines and I'm over that (mostly) at this point in my life.
I just want to...
I can totally see the Mach E being vandalized because it's not a "real" Mustang.
In addition to your point, you get people who slash Tesla tires, key Teslas and coal roll Priuses.
Add to the fact that this is one of the most expensive cars I'll probably purchase, and it's a bit worrisome to...
If you look at a lot of the YouTube comments, you still get a few "why is it a Mustang?" comments, but a lot more of "that sound is awesome!"
So I think they are starting to come around.
This was one of the reasons why I'd rather drive a Ford or other major manufacturer EV than Tesla.
No shade to Tesla as I'm sure there are some car lovers on their teams, but these sort of skunkworks or tuner components to the traditional car companies like Ford Performance, TRD, Nismo, HRP...
Ugh.
The GT should be more than enough for me, but a Shelby would be nice.
Honestly if we could "tune" our own cars' computers and add more aggressive body panels, etc., that would be enough for me.
But a part of me thinks those days are over.
Plus I'd imagine an electric Shelby Cobra or...
Absolutely. When the hybrid was released (last year?) a local dealer had it marked up 15k. It was ridiculous.
So I can imagine what the markups would be again this year and next.
I really like the Rav4 Hybrid and PHEV. Toyota really nailed it.
I wish it was a full EV however.
We currently have a Prius and it's been an awesome car. The Toyota checks all of the boxes, but I really think in some ways the Mach E is more practical and desirable for me.
If I lived in a...
I love the Model Y (in theory) And the Mach E as well (obviously).
However I pulled up next to a Model Y yesterday and the panel gaps and door misalignment was pretty noticeable. That's just something you very rarely have to worry about in a more traditional manufacturer.
I hope that by next...
