This issue was reported on this forum over a year ago - the prompt to turn the motion sensor off when exiting does not actually do so if you select yes. Workaround was to first turn it off from within settings - vehicle.

Feels like there has been plenty enough time to address this through an OTA update, but 5 minutes of searching yielded nothing. Is this truly still not fixed?

Disappointing if so. Seems like a small thing to fix.

I think I didn’t get the motion sensor reset after the most recent OTA update. Usually I get it every time, I notice when I go to exit the vehicle and it asks. I’ll have to pay attention next time.

Some of the nuisance things are just that, I fix them and move on. Of course, I’d love for Ford to get them updated, but they don’t upset me or make me regret my purchase. My car is far too cool to let these things bother me.

Every OTA that and the clock reset to factory.

"Do you want to turn off motion detect?" No dumbass it was set to no before you OTA'd it...

"Check rear seat". Sigh, turn that off again, only two of us ever in the car

and

17:00 in the afternoon is now 5pm. went to settings and it has the
24 hour time? ( O) set to ON, but clearly it's not, so I have to toggle 24 hr off, then on and it catches.

I've just given up on this so I just leave the car on and lock the vehicle with the keypad on the drivers side B-Pillar. The vehicle has "secure park", similar to what the law enforcement patrol cruisers are equipped with, so it won't shift out of park if the key is not nearby/inside the vehicle.

It’s a feature. What other car can you get a placebo question every time you turn off the car? Ford designed this to keep you involved and interacting with the car.

I have not had an OTA in weeks and my seat adjustment on exit turned off. And fake sound was on. No idea why but what I have learned in 18 months of ownership is not to ask why, why, no answer

I haven’t tested it in a while, but I think I read that it doesn’t work with “walk away lock,” because that turns your alarm on.

Not 100% sure though.
