10/24 Build date

my build week is the week before (10/17) also in The TC. They didn’t narrow down my delivery date, so good to see you got one.

As least no fuss with price adjustments/credits (knock on wood).

o forum commenter said their scheduled build date was 10/10 and the VIN was low 62,000s. What is the VIN range for 10/24 build week? 66.000?

Not 10/24 build (mine is 10/10) but my VIN is 58XXX. I saw both @FirstPony and @blannan post theirs VINS were 56XXX and @andyrross was 57XXX.

Since I wrote that comment, my order (VIN 500XX) was moved up to 9/12, along with several other Prem AWD ER units that were ordered back in 2021. Then, several GT orders, ordered in March 2022, were moved into the 9/12 build week, with VINs in 60000s. I was making a futile effort to foresee how many 2022MY MME units Ford was trying to schedule for assembly before the 2022 model year concluded.

Does anyone know if later post-recall builds like ours will have updated (hopefully beefier) battery contactors, or the same part as the early builds, just with the software band aid fix pre-applied?

Just saw a railroad strike is possible.

I wonder if my car gets built / can I drive it from the plant to the dealer, and then home. Might be faster.

I assume so. Everything I've read with any recall, Ford or otherwise, if it effects active production vehicles, as soon as they have a fix it gets applied to built cars.

Rail strike was averted! Tentatively at least. But no strike for now, and probably not at all (but we will know for sure in a few weeks).

Rapid Red here too. Order date 1/27, premium AWD extended range. Weirdly I got a "sorry / supply chain issues / we're still working on your order" email from Ford on 8/25, forwarded it to my dealer asking for an update, and they responded to tell me I'm scheduled for w/o 10/24. Asked for a VIN and never heard back so I had to get that via ford.com chat. Mine ends in 56XXX. ETA for delivery is 11/30 here in MN.

Hey there - another Twin Cities member snooping here from the 9/12 build week.

I'm scheduled to be built tomorrow, 9/16. I'll let you know what the delivery ETA shows once it's built and what the actual time frame is once it arrives.
