Again, it really seems like the shipping delays are much worse or more common for points westward. You two are WA and NM. Our deliveries so far are MO, TX, PA and WI x2. Recipients to the east are seeing their cars reach their rail end points, even in Canada, just waiting for trucks. Meanwhile the westerners in the US have their vehicles just sitting in KC. I sense a pattern.

I'm seeing that pattern too and I don't understand it.

Like with my example above, my buddies BMW rolled by on the same rail lines. MME's keep popping up on dealers websites here, so, they are in fact making it out here. But every one of those have $10K in ADM on them and the dealers won't even consider me with A/Z plan. Best one dealer would consider is $7500 ADM for the same build this week.

A separate buddy who ordered his MME GT one day before I did, had his arrive last week. He ended up canceling the purchase and went with an Ioniq. As soon as he informed the dealer, they took it and marked it up to sell.

There must be SUCH a backlog of stuff heading this way? I don't know. Doesn't make sense.

Update for me:

After a week in a status of "Actual Placement of Car" at the Norfolk Southern yard in Elkhart, IN, the status switched to "Intermediate Arrival on Train" at the same location. Seems weird. I assumed since NS has a line that continues to Chicago but stopped in Elkhart, that meant it was going to get on a truck next. But this sounds like maybe another train? Or maybe the Mach-E was offloaded and now the railcar has gone back into service for the next job? I can't tell.

Try ford.com chat support, give then your order number and vin number. Ask them to give you a status update on your vehicle, they should provide you a railcar number if your car is indeed on the train.

You can track the railcar's location depending on which railway company it belongs to. That should give you a better idea.

That being said it's highly dependent on where you are, and a lot of times it's a draw of luck at the end of the day.

Sure enough - I chatted with Ford today and they said that they showed December 2 - 8 for delivery. Crazy that the last email I received was so off and they don't update it.

The dealer called this evening and I am picking up tomorrow. Thanks for your help.

I caved, did Ford chat, and received the inevitable news that my car is in purgatory. I am STILL on Ramp 6R, and I have no rail car or convoy number associated with it. I am going to lose out on the $7500 and that makes me REALLY mad, particularly when cars built after mine are being delivered (or at least are on a train moving somewhere).

I am going to lose out on the $7500 and that makes me REALLY mad, particularly when cars built after mine are being delivered (or at least are on a train moving somewhere).

You may very well still get yours. It shouldn't take more than a week from KC to Michigan. But, I feel you. Incredibly frustrating. I've been sitting at 6R for two weeks now. All while I am watching cars come through local dealers that are my exact build. But, the are adding insane ADM and won't even talk with me since I am an A/Z plan buy. Wouldn't be a major deal if there wasn't $7,500 on the line.

Cars are making it across two borders to get to Canada before they are even heading to Washington.... STILL sitting on 6R. As of this morning, it's been two weeks just sitting there. Knowing its built and just sitting there not moving makes this wait even less enjoyable.

Congrats though, I bet a couple more midwest dealers end up with them this week.

I'm salty about my own car, but really happy for everyone getting theirs as well. Where do you get the info about the 6R purgatory or the placed siding? When I chat Ford they just say it's in KC.

According to Ford chat, mine hasn’t had a status change since Nov 16. ??‍. Today is the first day of my delivery window…

Now up to 7 of 21 on the sheet delivered to dealer. A third done!

Might actually be higher - a few of the posters haven't been around and might have gotten theirs already and just not mentioned it here.

Also I decided that keeping the Canadians in a separate part of the list seemed kinda silly, especially since their shipments seem to be moving along similarly to US orders. So I mixed them into the list with the Americans. Now we are all one big happy (or impatient) family.

My delivery window ended 11/29. My dealer is in FL, and the tracing showed the train car in Jacksonville, FL on 12/4 with a "notification ground only" status so I thought that might be good news and it would be headed to the dealer soon.

However, last night I got a new delivery window for Jan 2023 ?. As of this morning, the tracing seems to indicate it stayed on the train, left FL, and is now in GA?! What is happening here?
