Got me thinking of my incoming Premium - another thread said that the price point of the MME as worrisome as a result of Tesla's price drop....

Would you consider comparing the MME to the Tesla 3 or Y ?

https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...op-to-52-990-make-you-think.25110/post-582158
I have a Y and I would say the MME AWD premium is a comparable car apple to apples much more so than to the 3. The M3 is much smaller and lower riding… (but does have a pretty big trunk). If I priced a Y today choosing to upgrade either color or wheels than it would be 54990 before tax! I am beside myself as to how my situation came about, but if you qualify for the tax credit than that is incredible and I would not have taken the mme for the $68k price tag I ordered (even with the private offer)… l am still looking at this forum! Why? I still like the mme. But you gotta do what you gotta do I guess. Enjoy the drive, whatever kind of wheels you roll on:)

Thanks for checking in with the forum!

The only reasons why I am going to stick with my incoming '23 MME is the temporary full tax credit until March of this year and the $6500 PCO.

It was by sheer luck that I got a base Premium RWD for $25 under the max $55K limit....

If it wasn't for that, I'd skip and look at the Tesla Y w/ upgraded suspension aftermarket.

The only reason I don't like the stock Y or 3 is the suspension really makes everyone carsick.

My cousins have the X and S Plaid with much better ride - wish the Y and 3 would incorporate the same suspension.

I only know mine, but I think they supposedly fixed the Y suspension? Although I have no personal knowledge of the before and after. My Y is long range not performance so idk but seems great to me. Is your purchase price based on after the pco? My dealer (not reliable) said you are taxed on the price and then the pco is adjusted; do not sure if the irs looks at the overall purchase with or without the pco, so that could affect the tax credit eligibility of $55k? Food for thought…

That is good to hear the Y suspension got changed because everytime I ride in my co-worker's Y, I get nauseated.

Yes, you are correct, the PCO is applied AFTER full sales tax is charged on the full amount (MSRP).

However, IRS looks at the base price + options - BEFORE destination & delivery charge.

But since my build comes in under the IRS max by $25 thanks in part to IRS stating that delivery & destination charges are not included.

Net cost after all incentives, credits, rebates, etc = $37K before tax title reg, etc..

For me I have the select coming so price wise it’s more of a comparison to the model 3. I just prefer the bigger car and look. However there r more future in the 3

Just checked because of you.

I think mine is on a different rail schedule.

Mine is still holding at 1/17 - 1/23.

Mine got moved from 1/9 -1/15 to 1/17 - 1/24.

I am actually okay with that. Gives some time for ford to figure out possible incentives..

Oh yeah, I am fine with that too!

I'd like to know what Ford will do for the IRA incentives that other brands like Audi, VW, MBZ, and Chrysler have given out the $7500 incentive towards a lease.

I’m pretty sure, Ford could have been passing the tax credit along the whole time, but has chosen not to.

I already get the tax credit… would love a 2.49 finance option. Locked in for 3.25 right now as long as the car shows up before it expires

Same here - qualify for the tax credit as long as it arrives before March when the IRS rules on the battery guidelines.

I am hoping Ford Options at 4.49% will be my goal with $2K incentive and $6500 PCO.

Still hoping and waiting to see if Ford will change their RCL lease to credit back the $7500 in net cap cost reductions - then it will be a bargain as taxes won't be paid up front!
