I’m going to stay the course and see what happens. I got a call from my Senators office yesterday. They said they were unhappy with the new IRS rules and were going to try to “fix” them. No details. But, I don’t want a Tesla. I still want the MME and yeah it’s not as competitive this week, but Tesla will raise prices after they get what they want out of the stunt.

The tax concern could be any of, bad deal for international companies, arbitrary cutoffs for income/car types, and unfair for other car buyers. All of which have reasonable points but wouldn’t expect any major changes for the next 1-2 years.

Hopefully they probably change the MME to an SUV in the IRS rules but that doesn’t need legislation.

2023 Mach-e Premium on order

Well I canceled my Mach-e Premium AWD ER order, as they recently moved ship date back once again, and of course the tax incentives evaporating. Instead I purchased a 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV: AWD, 38 miles on EV, 430+ range, 7 seater (for the grandkids) all the bells and whistles, for $15K under the expected Private offer price of the Mach-e. Ford delays, changes, tax rules, infrastructure...was too much.

Looks like a great vehicle for the grand kids. I don’t blame you for canceling your order for your case use. Enjoy :)

Huh, good find, didn’t know about that one. 40 miles EV is solid.

My MME still shows in production so i reached out to my dealer, he said it is built and has shipped with estimated delivery of 01/27 - 02/03. He said there is an issue with the website not updating properly. In case anyone else was worried their car was still in production.

Just called.. STILL telling me that the car was built on Dec 22nd and hasn't shipped yet with an expected delivery date of March!
This for a car that was originally ordered April 8th 2022!
It may be a blessing in diguise..
Maybe by the time car is delivered Ford will realize that they need to compete with Tesla & give me a decent lease deal between my $6,000 private offer and the $7,500 they get from Brandon.
In the meantime, I'm renting a Polestar 2 on a Florida vacation and really enjoying it...

Anyone else get any updates on shipping. Called Ford today, they said it's in Laredo Texas.

Good for you!
As I said above - no news for me...
When did they say that yours was actually built?

If that's the case and they are going chronologically, maybe mine will start moving by the end of this week.
One can only hope...
I really want this blue mustang, but I'm getting a bad feeling that I may end up with a red Model Y...

Yeah if I didn't have mine so close to being delivered I would consider the Tesla. But I've heard the build quality is suspect. Plus my wife really likes how the MME looks.

my 12/19 production build Mach-e has been released by the plant and will be shipped to Michigan, ETA 2/2-2/8 but at this point I might going to pass for the time being and wait and see what happens with Mach-e prices in general given the recent Tesla pricing cuts.

My 12/19 build week (allegedly built on 12/22) is still showing "In Production"
How did you find out that your car is on the move? Web site? Email? Dealer?
Thanks!

several sources:

I loaded the vin in my ford app and someone at the plant activated it (see previous posts)
I also got a FORD email saying that it had completed production, which I also verified by logging into my ford account. right now the ford app still shows it's at the plant, supposed to move any day now...
