Called Ford again today.. WHY? I guess I am a masochist.
Of course, no news...
I ONLY know where the car is (MEXICO) based on the info from my Ford pass that it was charged there on Saturday.
Ford rep says "If the car was moving and charged on Sat, it seems like it's going through it's final tests and should be moving soon. TWO MONTHS OF SITTING N MEXICO!
My car is the ONLY thing that seems to be unable to make it over the border!
Almost ELEVEN months and couting.

From the 12/5 build week, still sitting in Lecheria Mexico and can't get the new updated window sticker...

Still in production this week, guess they are still trying to raise enough naugahydes for the seats. Poor little naugahydes, at least they are free range.

Yeah, after waiting a while, I just went to my Dealer and picked up one of their GT's at MSRP. I, and they, were tired of waiting on the shipment. Very happy with the decision.

I financed. Combination of driving way too many miles a year and the payments being less for financing (even with interest rates they way they are currently) made it an easy-ish decision.

Mine supposedly has been built since Dec 22nd. Still sitting in Mexico awaiting some kind of update is what I have been told. Still stuck in “production for 12/19” status.

This morning it went from production to built! Order 3/11/22, Build week 12/19/22, Built 3/3/23. (Window sticker has not changed)

First my obsessive checking. 12 hours later an email, 12 hours later a friendly call from my dealer.

Dealer said Ford still gave him no solid information on why the delay. He said that his dealership has not received any 2023’s yet.

Side note: Dealer said it was costing them about $700k to upgrade their dealership to be fully compliant with the new EV dealership standards. He gave me a laundry list of the expenses. He didn’t lament the expenses, it was more like “don’t worry, you’ve waited over a year for your car and we will be here for you if you need us.”
