12/19/22 Build Week

Sorry. This has got to be killing you. I hope this is not another dagger, but a member I’m in touch with locally (MN) just picked up a Select from a dealer on Friday. In his message to me he said that its build date was 12/22. He said its trip log started on 2/24. I had actually stopped by that dealership several weeks earlier and saw the same Select and another vehicle, so it had been there since at least mid-February.

I’m equally baffled as to the disposition of your vehicle. When all is finally revealed, I’m sure there will be some story about some damage while moving it in the lot at Cuautitlan and their inability to repair it back in December as the factory shut down. That’s my guess. That and $5.00 will get you a coffee at Starbucks. Sorry you’re going through this hell.

What's interesting is, they give me NO information EXCEPT to tell me that it is NOT damaged, because if it WAS damaged, that is the ONE piece of information that they would have.
But, at this point, I don't believe anything until i see the actual car at Helpstead Ford..

I doubt it was damaged considering there are multiple other ppl, myself included, that were stuck in the same position as you until just this weekend. it would be weird to have so many cars with the same build date damaged at the same time.

My original order date is 3/21/22

Theory #2: They ran out of an essential part or parts and they could not get more before they had to shut down for the retooling. Though some were finished and shipped, unfinished vehicles sat idle.

With the factory now back up and running, those parts are now in and they are working on completing all of the unfinished late December vehicles that were affected.

March 20 seems to be the first build week that late ‘22 orders are being scheduled, so since they are obviously building some before that date, and those seem to be 12/22 build week vehicles, this seems likely to me.

Again, this and $5.00….

Agree - not to mention Ford in Mexico shut down production for December (holidays) and in January for re-tooling their lines.

Not surprised @NYSteve if it got caught during that plant shutdown.

Mine was stuck on Pending Update status as well. Dealer and Ford online chat said the same. Then miraculously it shipped. Hope yours will ship soon.

Despite being driven this past Thursday as per my Ford Pass app- NO UPDATE!
Did my weekly call to Ford - nothing to tell me other than it was built on 12-22
Called the dealer - he said his regional rep said (last week) that he would make my car a priority. Some priority!
Damn that $6,500 golden handcuff of a PCO!
What will REALLY piss me off is if the PCO is adjusted to the new price. I'm actually prepared for that.. ?

Yah, same here - being tied to this long overdue order of ours....

Mine slipped into early April ETA...

Wonder if the IRS will rule on the battery credit... ?

UPDATE!
My car was driven again this afternoon & now I am able to see it on the map!
It is in the parking lot right next to the rail cars - SEE BELOW!
I might even have this car by May!
