12V Battery Software Update - Charging Issues

For the 25S65/25V404 recall, it says

Software is now available to repair your vehicle. Ford Motor Company has authorized your dealer to update the powertrain control module and the secondary on-board diagnostic control module c free of charge.

You mean this update? I got this one applied about 4 days ago. I haven't had any problems with charging. Interestingly, this is the first update I've received since almost a year ago. I finally got something!

As of right now, the 25S65/25V04 recall campaign has not been packaged as an OTA. That will be forthcoming in the next few months. Are you sure it wasn't the 25B03 HV Battery charging CSP that you got?

At the dealer now to get all updated. Second time since purchasing the car new in April that we've had to go to the dealer for recall updates. Had one OTA update in between. This is annoying--all our Tesla updates were OTA.

Also, does anyone have more info about the latest 12v battery charging update? Why doesn't Ford allow a software setting to keep the 12v trickle charged to full from the HV battery--especially when plugged in? I realize it would affect range, but as an optional setting, it sure would make sense for better 12v battery life and remove some 12v battery issues.

I just had the update done today for the 12 V plus they said there was an audio update and originally I told him I was just gonna wait for the car and they said when I got there 4 to 6 hours to do the update they should definitely let customers know that before hand
hopefully there won’t be any charging issues like you’re reporting

I had the 25S65 recall update done at home by mobile service a couple of days ago and it didn't take 4 to 6 hours.

I dropped it off at 7, they started at 8 and just finished at 1 pm
I guess their server is slow.

Our dealer told me that it was a large update that might take 2 hours, but under promised and over delivered--it was completed in about an hour.

I didn't go to the dealer. They came to my home and installed the recall software. Maybe your dealer could do that.

It will eventually make it to an OTA update. Timing is unknown on that, but if past history is an indicator, recall software generally makes it to OTA between 4 and 10 months after it was released in FDRS.

Mine was completed today took about 40 min. I notice the handling of the steering change more flexibl. Also, notice they changed the one pedal d it’s a lot smoother

Yesterday a mobile van service came but his laptop couldn't get to communicate with my Mach e. So I had to take it to dealer. They completed it in good 4 hours.

Reported updated PCM. SOBDM, BECM and ABS modules along with the recall. Not sure those updates were rated to the recall or just they never got updated through the OTA. I hadn't taken it in for update. I am glad they did it all today.
So far no abnormality. I haven't driven longer than 10 miles though. No cruise control used.

Good Grief, that is not cool.
I just had the update on Thursday, September 11th. I have not charged the vehicle since then. I will follow up when I charge again. Level 2 Ford Charge Station Pro was installed in February.

I have charged. I had no problems.

Anyone know if there will be an OTA for 25S65/25V404? I’m just trying to avoid a trip to the dealer.
