You don't need the dealership to test your battery. AutoZone, Advance Auto or wherever can test it for you for free. Should take about 2 minutes. Or you could buy a tester yourself.

It will take longer to remove the panels covering the battery than it will to conduct a test. (Unless you have modified the panels for battery jump access).

Somewhere between thirty minutes and three months. Depends on how many plumbuses they need to use. The amount of available schleem will determine how many plumbus they can make.

There are multiple methods used to test a car battery. One requirement is that the battery be charged enough to test. If it is low, then it may sit on the machine for an hour or more being charged until it has enough charge to be tested.

I had a dying battery (6 years old) in my F-150. Fully charged it, then drove to Walmart to get it tested (and likely replaced). 20 min in they told me it needed a few hours to charge to be tested, so I said nope, I just did that so it is bad, put in a new one.

ICE vehicles get the entire charging system tested, which isn't necessary with an EV, but the battery needs enough charge to be tested.
