This is the message I am referring to as to my earlier post. I got this message from the Ford App a few minutes ago while the car is at dealership for the recall update and etc... Thus the diagnostics when I spoke the Ford service advisor at 1:45pm.

If you have dealt with a competent service advisor, I'd reach out directly to that person. I had the same issue when I called my dealers's main service line number. When I emailed my SA, I got scheduled for next day mobile service.

Also, the recall fix letters should be arriving, if it hasn't already. Mine arrived in the mail yesterday.
I got the letter a couple of days ago but have been too busy to open it up until after I called them. It's sure that guy wasn't up to the current knowledge. I'll bring it in next month after I done the power liftgate wiring coming out of the fuse box. Don't want them seeing it's being modified .

I got my car back this morning with the Ford update completed. The driver assist / collision modules got a bunch of updates to fix issues of it turning it off and rebooting. States in the report: Muliple RFA / GSM modules required updates with using the newest verison of FDRS that were available to the modules.

I wonder if factory instructions to the techs warn about the 12+ minute wait to remove battery terminals on a battery R/R?
I’m having both things done simultaneously (12v battery change preemptively given everything I read - my GT has 38K), so thanks for the heads up about mentioning that to tech. I’m not sure if they’d do software update first then battery change or vice versa. I guess I should ask that battery be changed out first?

Who's gonna replace a 12-volt battery in 12 minutes after the car is shut off? Do people have pit crews in their homes? 😅 😄 🤣 😂
I actually could! I’m getting my 12v changed during the same appointment as the software update! My GT has 38K on it and I want a new 12v battery so it doesn’t die on me mid ride…I’ll def mention what I read here

Keep us updated on how the dealer handles this.
So the car was picked up by the dealer on Wednesday morning. Wednesday afternoon I got a call saying the recall updates are taking longer than expected and the car would not be back until Thursday. Thursday afternoon I got another call saying they were still having issues updating the car due to the software out of date issues and now I won’t get the car back until Monday at the earliest. Hopefully this resolves the OTA update issues for me, but we shall see when I get the car back.
I’ll update again when I do.

Adding my experience getting this software update...

I dropped my Mach off Monday night right before close and they called me Tuesday morning at 10:30a to tell me it was ready for pickup. Quick and completely hassle free. I'm assuming this is how it should go if a dealership service center knows what they're doing.

A mobile van showed up this morning. 40 minutes later the tech was done.

Same here. Tech really appreciated the access holes I'd made for the 12v jump points.

How long after you had recall before Ford app said it was done? Went to the https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls it also still says incomplete. I think I will go by Ford dealership this week. Plus when mobile Ford was here they said my 12v didn't pass his test. Car is still under 3 year warranty so will see if they will replace it for free.

The recall will not clear until your dealer files the warranty claim with Ford. So, it could take some time. Don’t sweat it. (see post from FDRS expert Mike G here)

Mine took 9 days to clear out of my Ford account. Some people have had theirs clear much faster. 🤷‍♂️🐩
