I took my 2021 Premium to the dealership today for HVJB recall service, and they gave me a 2024 Select AWD as a loaner. The loaner has 300 miles on it, so basically brand new. The immediate thing I noticed is that while I love the seats in my 2021, the seat back in the 2024 seemed to have better lumbar support and the seat bottom seemed softer. Driving the car felt no different from my car, except there seemed to be a bit more wind noise (likely from the side mirror) and steering seemed tighter. BC worked great and the radio seemed the same. They will have my car for the next 4 or 5 days for the recall work and several modules updates their computer said it needed, so I will get a chance to see if I detect any major differences that I didn't already expect, like no kick-to-open lift gate.

Thanks to Ford for authorizing a rental or loaner free of charge as part of this recall. I was pleasantly surprised when Robert Horne Ford in Apache Junction AZ gave me a Mach E, and even more surprised that it is brand new.

Ford has incentivized dealers to convert unsold Mach-Es to loaner vehicles.
