2023 Ordering?

So my dealer has just informed me they are already balanced out for 2023 Select models.

I guess its premium or bust now...

That doesn't sound right. Dealers are limited to the number of orders they get for the dealership lot cars, if you order the car via Ford.com and have it sent to the dealer it doesn't hit that allotment. The only time I've heard of a dealer having a hard sale limit is if they have gotten in trouble with Ford in the past.

In Canada we don't seem to have any online ordering option.

I was told the reason for my dealer being done is all their outstanding 2022 Select models got carried over and balanced out their 2023 select allotment.

Busy working the phones to scramble for other dealers who might be able to help me out now...

Perhaps with these price increases, plus the likely loss of the tax credit, there won't be an 8+ month wait to take delivery? Or maybe that's just wishful thinking...

Well if it doesn't qualify as an SUV and the 80k cutoff there will definitely be one less order.
An increase in price of 20% over my 2021 Premium for no real improvement makes it a poor value. I paid a little over 47,000 after the $7,500 tax rebate and now it would be $63,000? I don't think so.
Original plan was to trade it in at 36,000 miles when the full warranty were off. Then I thought okay well for a few dollars more I can get the new car considering what my trade-in would be worth and the Xplan. But now even with a good trade in value and X-Plan still a lot of money to trade for car that's 2 years newer

Like any website change, the change is queued up and goes live when the company chooses to have it do so. You have zero reason to order from a dealership directly for the Mach-E or Lightning. Zero. Just wait.

Also know that WHEN you order isn't going to impact when your vehicle is made. Dealership prioritizes THEIR orders. They get an allotment from Ford. Ford prioritizes all orders and groups things together as parts supplies or profits dictate (they may decide to push out all GTs for example). If you're in a ZEV state (go look it up if you don't know what that means), your vehicle will overall get a higher priority than a non-ZEV state.

My 2021 Mach-E was ordered on 5/29/21. It wasn't delivered to me until 5/17/22.

Honestly measured against my mom's Toyota Matrix (which is a hatchback). The Mach E is like the exact same height dimensions. I get why its considered a SUV cuz that's what sells but other than that... would consider it a hatchback

You could get it by joining the Mustang Club of America online for $35. However, it appears that Ford will not be accepting X-plan on the 2023 MME.

Advertising doesn't matter. The EPA classifies the 2022 Mach-E as an SUV. The 2021 was classified as a small station wagon.

Their subjective analysis aside the federal government classifies it an SUV. And since the government is who I pay taxes to they are the only classification I need.

I already qualify for X-Plan, I was asking if you can do it via online order or only at the dealership.
They accepted it before, some dealerships didn't but some did, has there been a corporate change in the policy?

Ford says MY23 Mach-E is not eligible for X-Plan.
