I feel like an idiot... Are these supposed to be relatively hard to install?. Mine came with rubber o-rings that don't seem to fit and I'm nervous to push these on top of the existing knobs because I feel like it's going to scrape all of the paint off, and if I end up hating these, I'm going to hate it even more if my stock knobs are damaged!

Yep, the rubber o-ring fit for the display knob but it didn't for the gear shift. I just pressed them in. They are made of plastic so I doubt they can do much damage.

Are you talking about the covers? Because mine are aluminum.

The stock knobs are plastic and almost certainly painted.

Sorry, you are correct. I just pressed them on the original knobs. I don't know if they damaged them or not. I just plan on leaving them on there. I don't see a reason to ever take them off.

Normally I would agree with you, but I have a screen protector on the main display and I'm not 100% certain the cutout will fit past the cover.

It looks like the confusion here is we are talking about two different companies that make these dial covers/crowns. The ones I use and actually helped design with Kevin, are from his company 5 SPURS and they do fit the gear shift dial on the '24 model year Mach-E. I have personally installed them myself so I know they fit.

The EV-Vida dial covers/crowns are differently designed and do not fit over the slightly different '24 gear shifter dial. As Roy mentioned above, they are working on a version that will fit the '24's.
Mark, can the dials from 5 SPURS be removed without damaging the original dials?

Yes. Takes a little force to pull them up but there is no damage. You might have to clean off the gummy adhesive with some goo gone. ?
