Just got a 2025 Rally and the FRUNK is TINY compare to my son's 2023 Premium. I wish there was a choice to NOT have the heat pump. I would rather have the big FRUNK.
If it's that disappointing, I'll trade your my 2023 GT (with the full size frunk) for your 2025 Rally and the tiny frunk. (I only use my frunk for a california duster, a NACS adapter, and spare barf bags.)

Yeah, but I bet you’re enjoying that extra 0.1mi/kwh in efficiency!

If you think you got screwed on the frunk size, just wait until you compare the price you paid for a “new” 2025 (with the same battery chemistry, charging tech, and infotainment that’s been around for at least 5 years) against a 2023 still under warranty. :giggles:

The '25 has more efficient motors, I think, compared to the '23. The heat pump might make it more efficient in cooler weather... but not sure about that. My impression from a post here was that Ford managed to make the heat pump overly complicated.

Of course, the Rally trim wasn't available in 2023.

There is an option. Its called the 2024s that have been sitting there.

OMG! If only there were a way to see the frunk before you spent your money buying the Rally!

Please forgive all of the sarcastic replies (except for mine. lol.) They aren't meant as an attack on you personally. It's just that there are a lot of frunk related threads lately.

You might feel better knowing that few people actually use the pre-2025 frunk to it's full capacity. (There are a lot who do, but I think the majority of mach-e owners don't.)

Please forgive the lack of frunk comparison photos (except for mine, post #13 which finally has some)

The most bizarre thing about the 2025 frunk is the cliff on the right side where the heat pump apparently no longer needed the space.

I still think the 2025 frunk could be useful. No, you won't be able to pile as much crap in there as you can for previous years, but it's still useful. Considering what I keep in mine, the smaller tub would still be fine:

California Duster
3-4 towels
5-6 barf bags (in a plastic grocery bag)
An ice scraper/brush
Lectron NACS adapter

(I could also store all this stuff under the rear false floor, but I moved it to the frunk just so I could say I was using it.)

Wait.. does that 2025 frunk still have the button to open the frunk from the inside? lol. If so, it's hilarious. I don't think it would be possible for anything THAT small to work a button.
