Last time I had a recall with a software update as the fix my dealer offered mobile service when a tech came to the house and did the update. This time I called and was told this wasn't offered for this fix. Is this fix too complicated or too long for a mobile tech or did my dealer (which recently was sold to Group 1) stop offering this as a option?
I had the 25C69 update done at my house by Foed Mobile yesterday on my 2024 premium.

I’m scheduled for tomorrow. They wouldn’t do mobile service, but they’ll pick it up and return it to my house for free.

It doesn't sound like it, but had anyone gotten this via ota, as Ford mentioned?

Just saw an update available when I got in the car this morning, I didn't nab a screenshot but it said something about improving the stalk shift selector. Unless this is something specific to 2025-26, I have to assume it's to address 25C69. I'll install it tonight and see if the active recall goes away.

The dealer just returned my car, and supposedly did the recall fix. But I’m still showing an older software update.

Dealerships are in my low trust zone. Should I expect the Software Updates page to reflect this update?

Manual updates like at the dealer will not show on that screen. That is only for OTA updates. And if you had a pending OTA but the dealer manually updated it, it will not clear that notification on that screen. It will stay there until the next OTA is received.

So far that update (SCCM-25.AC.AD) has not cleared the recall. Maybe it was needed for the 25s in preparation to doing the recall OTA.

The scam-25 is not the recall. Just a software update. I don’t think the recall is available via OTA maybe April. I just got 2 recalls done at the dealership. To about 4 days for them to disappear from my app.

NHTSA Recall No.: 25V863
Manufacturer Recall No.: 25C69

Vehicle Rollaway Risk/FMVSS 114
A loss of park function can allow the vehicle to rollaway, increasing the risk of a crash.

NHTSA ID Number:
25V863000
Manufacturer Ford Motor Company
Components POWER TRAIN
Potential Number of Units Affected: 272,645

Summary
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2022-2026 F-150 Lightning BEV, 2024-2026 Mustang Mach-E, and 2025-2026 Maverick vehicles. The integrated park module may fail to lock into the park position when the driver shifts into park. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 114, "Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention."

Remedy
The park module software will be updated over-the-air (OTA) or by a dealer, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed February 2, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated in February 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25C69. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning January 26, 2026.

It SUPER sucks that Ford can't do these "recalls" via OTA updates.... this is 2026 - but their software team is from 1985. This is the second one in 6 months, and no OTA update available. Now, I have to have the annoying service guy come to my house to do the update, where he will probably take 4 hours like he did last time when it could have been done in less than an hour if that, but he was just hanging out in my garage in my car for 4 hours! Asked about bringing the car to dealership, they said it could take days to get my car back. This is disappointing. In two years I have received 2 OTA updates for dumb stuff, nothing significant! SUPER disappointed in Ford at this point. They have dropped the ball so hard on this car it's a shame! How long until it becomes the next Lightning.... non existent?!?!?!

Yeah, the time that I wasn’t getting updates and had to get the computer tuned up I got my car back three weeks later

This is available as ota, but as you know, or don't, getting ota's is a lottery kind of thing; your vin gets it when it's ready.
With a recall, it should be a priority, but it isn't.

Call a dealership with mobile service, and have them do it at your house, like I'm having done next Monday.
