Ok, that’s what I thought I read originally, but I stupidly just used AI which came up with a part number for 21-25 parking pawl. From OEMPartsOnline

Thanks, it did not make sense that two different switches went to the same thing. I am curious now if the caliper parking brake(center console switch) is on the rear or the front wheels(or all four wheels).

Yeah, but we don't have the kick to open liftgate or self parking, even though I have a button on the console to park the car and a decal on the liftgate that shows kick to open. Was promised to come later, wasn't it? I keep wondering if we can find a use for that parking button.

I did get the parking brake fault on my 23 yesterday...

I believe the park button brings up places to park, no?

The decal was included at no extra cost. Merve, a guy in Ford Purchasing, bought 3 million of them at a great price, and he wants to keep his job.

I haven't pressed the button, so I have no idea what it does. I don't imagine it finds empty spots in my work's lot, so what, it searches for parking garages and such? Guess I should press it and see.

It just would have been nice if Ford implemented the features they promised. The kick to open would have come in handy quite a few times. Don't really care about the self parking, but admit, even that might come in handy a few times when it's dark and my cameras are covered in salt debris and hard to see out of.

I was going to sign and drive away with my brand new Mach-e yesterday. Got a call from sales rep stating there's a stop-sale on all new mach-e's until the parking brake recall is fixed. Really puts me in a pickle because my lease runs out in my ID4 at the end of the month. I REALLY like the mach-e, but if it isn't done by next week, I am going to have to find another car and start over again. I hope it's taken care of, but I have my doubts.

Kinda bummed.

I don't believe recalls apply to used cars.

I got the same answer. Sales dude said he is expecting Mach-e's this weekend or beginning of next week.

Ive been in the same situation since the day it went live, tesg drove one few weeks agi, went back on the monday and boom recall live, stopped from buying it. The waiting game has been painful honestly keep checking on updates!

Stop sales do not apply to used vehicles.

I don't believe recalls apply to used cars.

My story: dealership sold me a 2024 gt this past weekend and said the software would be available Monday. Tuesday rolls around, and they said the fix is only 2025-2026s and refuse to budge because the “paper” says it’s only 25-26

Checked the ford recall site by year model this morning, and it now says software is available. Informed dealership and they continue to say they haven’t received any paper stating otherwise…

Called two different Ford corporate numbers and gave them the VIN. Both times they said the software is available. I also received a case number. I gave the dealership the case number and they are still insisting it’s 2025s only and saying “there is nothing we can do about it.”

Frustrating to say the least.

I just got the letter today for 25C69 stating that the software update is available. Does anyone know if this one will be coming OTA?
