Not a fan of the iPace I see...

I did have someone not realise the "Mustang SUV" was electric...
I did point out to the Jag moron that a Jaguar’s a cat and a Mustang is a horse, hence the badge is the clue to a non-moron but it was lost on him🤷🏼‍♂️

Absolutely, and more than compliments, there were multiple occasions in early 2021 where people straight pulled over to take pictures of my Mach-E, it was a very unusual experience!
Yup, I remember the days of being the being the first MME in Wichita. It was at least six months before I saw another. And well, the grabber blue was eye catching already. People taking video of me going down the highway. Kids walking up to take pictures of it when I was parked at evening soccer practices. The grabber blue glows under the lights at night. A lot of people didn’t realize it was a Ford because it lacked the traditional oval. That was fun times.

Now I can occasionally do this… Also fun times.

I ignored the unveiling as I wasn’t interested in what I presumed would be compliance car since they don’t make their way to Hawaii. Even the Hyundai Kona EV wasn’t sold in Kona at the time. When I found out it was a Mustang, I still ignored it cause I didn’t want a coupe and, besides, Ford stopped making Mustangs in 1967.

Around January 2020 I got around to looking at the car info and immediately ponied up the reservation fee. The car rolled out the door on February 10 2021 and took 16 weeks to get here. You can’t get to Hilo from anywhere.

It’s been the best car I’ve ever owned. Yes, there’s been a few glitches, and far more owner induced glitches, but pretty much trouble free. I’d have also gone for a GT if they had been available for delivery earlier in the year.

I also ignored an old aviation axiom when I bought the car, “Never fly the A model of anything.” Glad I did.

At 41.7 months and 56.4K miles. So settled into this vehicle. Got her detailed inside and out this fall and she is still (mostly) clean; not showing her age. I look forward to driving her until the doors fall off.

Ford unveiled the Mach-E 6 years ago today. I immediately placed my reservation. It took longer than expected to get my car, but it was finally delivered in February of 2021, more than 2 years later.
February 2021 was only 1.25 years after November 17, 2019.

It probably felt like more than two years ...

As a former Ford product trainer, I knew when doing the training on the Mach E for the dealers here in the Southeast, this was going to be a great car. Having an Electric Focus for over 5 years, another EV was a no-brainer. Placed an order with one of my higher volume dealers. Took delivery early in 2021. Great car, better than advertised range, looks and drives great. Got the tax credit. Now 47.9K miles.

The really amazing thing to me is that 4 years later, a new mass-market EV SUV hasn’t come out that makes me want to upgrade. I still feel like my First Edition MME is the best combination of features at this price point and, frankly even at a higher price point.

White Premium, ordered June 2020, built December 2020 and received April 2021. Still driving and enjoying it immensely - just under 57,000 Kms and still working great. Plan on keeping it for another 4+ years.
