I don’t know. I think I like the looks of the N better. I would get one if I was 30 years younger.

A relative has a regular Ioniq 5 and I do like their space ship interiors and interfaces. Ford should bring back some of its own flair in the original welcome animations and drive mode graphics

However, I greatly enjoy Unbridled One pedal, and it’s troublesome to turn on one pedal in the Hyundai/Genesis cars

I seriously considered buying a bog standard GV60 earlier this year, but the charge controller fiasco on the Hyundai Ioniq 5's and 6's meant that the only nearby Hyundai/Genesis EV service centers were completely booked for months. That was my only hesitation, because even the standard version was really nimble and fun.

Except for the range, the Hyundai-Kia group shows they can out GT @Ford Motor Company.

The luxury brand’s first electric sports car has arrived. Genesis launched the GV60 Magma in South Korea on Tuesday, its most powerful EV yet. However, Genesis promises it’s much more than just a speed demon.

Genesis turned 10 last year. To celebrate, the luxury brand is introducing a slate of new vehicles, including a new flagship electric SUV, an off-roader, and a new high-performance brand.

The GV60 is the first high-performance Genesis model under its new “Magma” sub-brand, similar to Mercedes-Benz AMG and BMW M.

After unveiling the concept at last year’s New York Auto Show, Genesis launched the GV60 Magma in South Korea on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

The GV60 Magma is a “symbolic” vehicle, Genesis said, as it aims to become “a true luxury leader over the next 10 years.” Like other Hyundai Motor Group performance EVs, such as the IONIQ 5 N and Kia EV6 GT, the Genesis GV60 is equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) powertrain.

The setup delivers a combined 609 horsepower (448 kW) and 740 Nm of torque. When Boost Mode is engaged, it unlocks the vehicle’s full potential with up to 650 horsepower (478 kW) and 790 Nm of torque for 15 seconds.

Genesis said the GV60 Magma is its most powerful electrified vehicle yet, capable of hitting 0 to 200 km/h (0-124 MPH) in just 10.9 seconds and reaching a top speed of 264 km/h (164 MPH).

The electric sports car “not only delivers speed, but also a luxurious and refined ride,” according to Genesis. It features Magma-exclusive design elements inside and out, a nearly silent cabin, new drive modes, and other upgrades from the standard GV60.

It also includes a new stroke-sensitive electronically controlled suspension (ECS), added sound-absorbing materials, thicker driver’s door glass, and Active Noise Control to minimize noise and vibration, resulting in a nearly silent ride.

Genesis introduced new Magma-exclusive drive modes, including GT Mode and Sprint Mode, to optimize performance and control at high speeds.

The GV60 Magma is 50 mm wider and 20 mm lower than the standard mode to improve stability and aerodynamics.

It borrows several features from Hyundai’s “N” performance EVs, including a Virtual Gear Shift System (VGS) and Active Sound Design (e-ASD+) that replicates the jerk sensation and sounds of a gas-powered sports car.

Powered by Hyundai’s fourth-generation 84 kWh battery pack, the Genesis GV60 Magma is certified with a driving range of up to 215 miles (346 km) by South Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.

The electric sports car is available with an exclusive “Magma Orange,” while the interior is offered in black obsidian monotone. Buyers can choose from Magma Orange or Ash White stitching as a finishing touch.

In Korea, the Genesis GV60 Magma is priced from 96.57 million won, or about $65,500. Genesis is running marketing campaigns in overseas markets as it prepares to launch the EV sports car globally.

The GV60 Magma is expected to arrive in the US and Europe in 2026. Genesis will reveal prices closer to launch, but since the 2026 Genesis GV60 Performance starts at $71,875, you can expect the Magma variant to be priced closer to around $75,000.
