The odds of this being 8 bad HVBJB are really low especially after receiving the new HVBJB.
Something is wrong somewhere else that contributes to HVBJB failure(s).

Sorry this is happening for you.
I hope Ford makes it right for you.

Wow.
If only they gave you 30,000 ford points each time it was replaced you could have bought a different vehicle on the next round.
Just. Wow.
Have you taken to X or something social media? That seems to get the job done lately.
The "Smart" Junction Box ("SJB") on my '07 Mustang GT was failing because of water intrusion; straight down the front passenger side, in the area where the windshield and right front fender meet. The SJB is/was inside the right front fender, with only a little square piece of foam-like material taped to hang down over the inside part of it. Practically speaking: designed to short out anything/everything electrically powered through its fuses. While I was puzzled in 2021 by the constant battery drain overnight requiring jumpstarts (until it wouldn't anymore), Ford knew about the problem in 2008 (per a specific Ford Technical Service Bulletin)!
When my researching the problem came across the '08 Ford TSB and produced it at the dealership (regrettably, after being towed in a couple of times, leaving the car for almost one month the first time, and then spending than $500 for a little plastic cut-off wheel on the battery post!), they gave me 24,000 Ford points. No refund on the bs "fix" (I posted previously about how the hood had to be popped every time to screw the little wheel down on the post to start the car and then to unscrew it when parked). No apology. I've never been back there.

Yes, might be the workshop or mechanic doing a bad job. 8 is just insane.
I’m on my second and I drive it like I stole it?

Wanted to post this because this forum allways has been of great help to explain my garage what’s wrong with my car ?

Today I’m going to pick up my 2021 Mach-E extended range, after the 7th time of replacing the hvjb. The “old” hvjb replacement parts broke down after a few months. Then the recall came in where ford said it wouldn’t break anymore. There thing is: this part keeps breaking after a week of regular driving, sometimes in a traffic stop.
Conclusion: The old part, for my car, was more capable than the new “indestructible” part

This time they replaced a whole wiring harness in the battery package including a new hvjb.

I’ll keep you updated. I’ll find out soon enough if this was the final fix ( if I manage to drive longer than a week would be a positive outcome).
It sounds like the dealer and or ford europe are just swapping parts with no clear idea of what's failing.

same boat as you. I lost patience and will take more aggressive measure to make it fix permanently.
I feel sorry for you and hope you will get a permanent fix. This car has so many flaws. They replaced a front wheel engine, both front wheel shafts (took them 2 years to find out. Meanwhile the hvbj kept blowing up and the bills for rental cars kept stacking up. If there is no recall you have to pay for the rental and it would take 2 more years for the current hvjb recall. The promise of an electric vehicle was less maintenance and low driving costs. Imagine in 5 years when warranty is gone. The hvjb is an easy 2500 bucks if you include the workshop costs. By taking the extra warranty for 1000 bucks i “saved” like 16000 bucks allready.
When the car performs normally I love it but the amount of fixes and no permanent fix yet makes the car impossible to sell. I really hope the wiring harness is the permanent fix for me. If not I will try to take legal actions and reach out to Ford on socials. It’s becoming a burden instead of a car im proud of. I want to take my family on holiday with it but last summer it broke down a week before we would go on holiday. Wish i could be more positive ?

At first in my hometown van mossel Ford Weert but they replaced 1 front wheel shaft for the thumping noise ( with the help of this forum I pointed them in the right direction) they lack experience and knowledge of the mustang mach-e. Then i had to go to van mossel ford Veghel for the hvjb. They had the tools to drop the battery package. Immediately they said van mossel Weert should have replaced both front wheel shafts instead of one. They also noticed one of the front wheel engines leak oil and replaced that as well. They then advised me to take the additional
Warranty, I guess they saw i bought a lemon. ? Nothing but love for this garage. Their electric vehicle engineer is very knowledgeable. When the part broke down for the 7th time he concluded its not the hvjb and put in the wiring harness. I wouldn’t go to any other garage then van mossel Veghel anymore.

When you have double the failures of the highest known failure rate….maybe just replacing the same part isn’t the solution.

I think one more you get a free Subway Sub.

But seriously, that really sucks. Regardless if they're fixing it under warranty, it's still costs you in time and stress. Hopefully this is the final one ?

I have to agree. As much as they’re saying their experiences at this dealer were positive, after replacement #3 or 4 I’d have taken it somewhere else just in case another tech might see something the first didn’t. You can be the best tech in the world and still miss something. That said, I suspect the biggest issue here is either the dealer’s failure to reach out to Ford after the failures continued or Ford’s failure to respond accordingly, as after that many repairs it should have been evident just replacing it over and over wasn’t the solution…which again may have played out differently elsewhere.

Has anyone confirmed there were 8 actual part changes? I've seen dealers clear the codes and claim to replace the part, but really didn't. Especially if there was a short turnaround of only a day or two.
