I am in Atlanta, and it is rather hot at the moment (only had my GT a few days).
Do you feel the air conditioning works well? Not sure am sold on it, to be honest…

There are some bugs with the HVAC that prevent it from maintaining a constant temp. If it was parked in the sun you may have to lower the temperature 5-8ºF below your normal setting to get it to function properly. This is what I have to do. I set it to 73ºF on cloudy days, but after being parked in the hot sun all day I have to reduce it to 65-68ºF to feel the same temp on the drive home.

The system has plenty of capacity for hot weather, it's just a bad implementation that doesn't ramp up cooling enough in hot interior temp conditions.

I set mine to lo most of the time in the summer, if I’m getting in without precon I will lower the back windows for a minute with it running. That being said, I generally think it’s warm when others think it’s cold.

...thanks for the breakdown. For a moment, I was thinking I was the issue ?

One thing to double check is that you didn't accidentally bump the AC button to the left of the volume dial and turn it off. I started to freak out because I thought my AC was broken and then I finally noticed the AC switch was off. Given what you said, I doubt it's the issue, but it's worth a quick look!

I agree I think whatever controller parameters they’re using for the auto feature doesn’t ramp up fast enough for super hot interior temps. Even auto level 3 is barely faster than auto level 1 when its truly scorching inside. The compressor can do it though, you just have to lower the temp to below what you actually want, and balance out (fight) the auto feature by raising the target temp back to normal once its cooled down a bit)

Interestingly I noticed in the past few weeks (with no official OTA), that the AC is trying to be more conscious of noise. When I’m at low speeds I can hear the compressor hum go away slightly, and it ramps back up when I start driving. Not sure I appreciate it that much (maybe if auto was better calibrated I would), but its an interesting feature.

I hit max AC when it’s above 80 and sitting in the sun for longer than 30 minutes. After a few minutes, I set it to 70 and it holds just fine.

There is also a bug that requires you to hit ANY a/c button to make the auto work sometimes.

If it’s really hot outside, I start the car and it’s set to 68 degrees and auto fan 3….. it will be barely blowing.

Even if I raise the temperature…….. it will start blowing quickly.

Im in Phoenix and it's H-O-T..your MME has a lot of glass and it does take some time to get the interior temp to a comfortable state. As was mentioned, if you cant pre-cool, open the rear window for a minute or so to allow the interior temp to stabilize, then roll up and allow system to work.

It was high 90's last week here 98,99,97 with high humidity and the AC is plenty cold. I did just get my car back from a HVAC reprogram and it seems to be even colder.

I try to remote start in order to cool the car off but often forget. On those days I just hit the Max button for a few minutes. I’m a bad dog daddy. ??

I am in Kennesaw. I have a Rapid Red 2021 Mach e GTPE that is 20 months old and the air conditioning is great. I leave it on 69 with the second degree of automatic. I have never had to put it on max air and put it on 70 in the winter.
