My wife and I both had our Samsung Galaxy phones (S20 and Note 10+) both update to Android 12 recently and, since then, it seems that Android Auto is not working in our MME. Has anyone else run into this? Android Auto used to fire right up when we would connect the USB cable, but now, we cannot even seem to get the Sync system to recognize that there are Android Auto-capable phones connected. Bluetooth connectivity is working for audio and calls and PaaK works just fine, but Android Auto does not seem to launch at all anymore. Trying to figure out if this is an Android Auto/Android 12 issue or if this might be something caused by the recent 21P22 updates that we put through on the MME or something else...

Try re pairing your phones, maybe. I've got an S20+ and I've been on Android 12 for a month or two with no issues

Thanks guys. Since getting the 21P22 update last week, I have fully deleted both our phones and added them anew to the MME. I will try it again and see if it helps...

Hi there! Can you send us a PM with your VIN and Ford dealership information? I’d be happy to look into this Mach-E concern on my end.

Well, I have tried removing my phone from the Sync system and adding it again and I have deleted my Mach-E from Android Auto to try to add it anew and nothing is helping. If I connect the USB cable to my phone and then allow the data connection and then press the Connect button in Sync for Android Auto, all it does it take me to my list of phones that are connected, but does not give me any option to connect Android Auto... I did get a call from Ford yesterday after they messaged me on here, but I have not spoken to them yet. Guess I'll see what they have to say here...

have you tried a Sync reboot yet? (vol down + skip forward buttons on the wheel for about 10 seconds)

It's happened to me a couple of times. Rebooting the phone and/or rebooting synch has worked to get it reconnected.

We have had the same problem in our car. I have a Pixel 6 Pro and my wife has a Samsung S21 Plus. Neither will regularly connect over the past few weeks. Before they would automatically connect wirelessly, but now they wont connect that way or via the plug. The phones will have a menu on them saying that they are connected to Android Auto on the car but the car doesn't have it. When we try to manually connect it through the sync it tells us that it can't do it.

I have tried sync manual reboot and that works about 1 out of 5 times (probably the same percentage that the car natively picks it up. We have also tried different cables through both the USB-C and the USB-A. Rebooting the phone doesn't seem to make any changes.

On a few rare occasions I've had the android auto app get into a weird error state. A phone reboot will fix that.
