Android Ford App

Anyone else having trouble with Ford app. When I open the app now it opens to feedback. And it will not let me out of the feedback. I have to go to settings, then apps to Ford app and force close. Then I can open it to see my car.

I tried to go ahead and do the feedback open it would stop opening to that page. But doing that when I hit submit it just sat there. So once again did the force stop the app.

Anyone else this is happening too?

I've not run across that particular issue, but I have been experiencing other problems with the Android app over the past couple of weeks.

I had one instance where nothing short of deleting the app and reinstalling helped. Since then, It often gets stuck on the black "Ford" welcome screen which requires a force close and clearing of the cache.

I get that to the black Ford screen and just sits there. I tried to put wait it one time to see if it would ever open up. No check about 30 mins later still on ford. Had to do the force stop app.

Dumb question but are you getting this message after the app updated?
It's not a message it on the feed back page when it opens up. But you can't do anything but force stop the app and open again.

Things to try, or that you might have already tried.

1. Restart your phone.
2. Clear the cache
3. Clear the data
4. Uninstall/reinstall the app.

If you have done all of these troubleshooting items and still have issues, reach out to Ford and see what the recommend.

Yes, have been having the same issue of late with both the Ford and Lincoln apps.

Anyone else having trouble with Ford app.
The most recent update returned me being logged out every day or so and requiring to log back in. Occasionally it would freeze with the only solution to force stop the app or reboot.

I haven't cleared the cache/data or uninstalled as I'd rather avoid having to reassign the phone-as-a-key. I'd rather wait this out for an undate to hopefully fix these issues.

Last week the app opened to a blank/black screen once with Ford logo and some times just blank. Rebooted the phone and all has been well since.

I am getting logged out quite a bit after the recent update, which never occurred before. I also have to force close and clear cache or reboot the phone sometimes when it hangs on a blank screen now. Android Z Flip 7.

Different issue but I had to go deep into settings and select google voice vs gemini or whatever they are calling the new one. It was the only way to get voice outgoing calls working again.

Just for the past 3 or 4 days, I've had the app stop reporting fresh data on things like vehicle location and charge status. Force-closing and restarting the app fixes the problem. Otherwise, it seems to be fine.

Thanks OP, my app was freezing on the Ford logo page, rebooting the phone fixed it. I had thought it was just Ford being Ford.

I haven't noticed anything like that with mine.If I get that screen, I hit the Previous button on the phone and it take me to the main screen. What I have issues with are allowing the system to send text messages or make calls. Contacts are synced, but it keeps telling me that syncing the contacts isn't possible and I have to go into assisted settings in Android Auto, which of course is enabled. Had the same issue with the Tremor, though, so it's something odd with my phone probably

I get the blank screen when opening the ford app 6.16 android s24. Deleted app repaired, deleted cache, force stop. Still keeps happening. But if I force stop it, it starts to work. So I don't have to keep rebooting the phone or deleting the phone. I have gotten the TCU and ECG updates recently. job 1
