I get the sense that we’ve hit the end of the road for any significant new functionality to be delivered to the current iteration of the Mustang Mach-E post BlueCruise 1.3.
Any thoughts on any other significant functionality Ford could deliver to MY21-MY24 after they deliver BlueCruise 1.3?

A display that shows charging rate. It's already on the new Lightnings.

Seems like there's still room for enhancment of BC. Could be updated to do fully automated lane changes (no turn signal tap). Also allow BC while towing for Lightning.

How would that be initiated? Seems like the driver has to do something to initiate a lane change. Tapping the turn stalk is probably the most logical way to indicate a desire to change lanes. I can't see any way the software itself could/should ever initiate a lane change.

GM already does this with SuperCruise. And BC already will prompt you that a 'lane change is possible'. It would be an easy step to just have the car do the lane change.

It would need to be a setting in the SYNC screen to allow automated lane changes or not.

I'm still stuck on what the decision making would/should be. For example, if I'm driving in the middle lane on a 3-lane freeway with no cars on either side of me, a lance change is possible. But how would the system know if I wanted to change lanes vs. just staying in the lane I'm in?

It would be a pretty simple 'passing' logic. If there is someone in your lane, in front of you, and they are going slower than your set cruise speed and if the left lane is clear. Then move over into the left lane, resume your set cruise speed. Once you're past the slower car then move back into the original lane.

I’d love this. TBH, it, and automatic BlueCruise hands-free engagement/disengagement along an active route in the navigation system are about as far as I see the current platform going.

How about a new UI that isn't super slow and actually makes better use of free space?
“Isn’t super slow” is likely a function of the processors, graphics chips (if any), and current software stack. I don’t hold much hope for any significant UI improvements. Maybe some cleanup.

A precondition button would be nice for sure. Maybe additional slight tweaks to the charging curve as well. I am not sure why people think that OTAs would stop just because BC 1.3 is coming out? Maybe just a bit of forum pessimism?
