The answer is very possibly in the manual. Reading it is on my to do list.

It's a handy holder for your key if you're the type who leaves the key in the car and uses the keypad on the door to lock/unlock the car. At least, that's what I used it for when I experimented with that system.

If you have 2 keys, you can make a 3rd and 4th on your own. The instructions are above. I bought authentic Ford key fobs from Car & Truck Remotes (or something like that) Took a couple of minutes.

Wow, I didn't realize you could program a new key without using FDRS.

I also assumed that this was for coins as it perfectly fits them. Good to know it has multiple uses haha
