So, I’m thinking about a “big” road trip next year, and something I’d like to do is cross the arctic circle.
Is this even feasible?
Are there any roads (Canada or Alaska) that run north of the arctic circle?
Is there a charger infrastructure (or any infrastructure, like hotels) that far north?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

I hope your newly app controlled frunk doesn't freeze shut on the way there!

Sorry, I have nothing else if value to add here. I'll see myself out.

I found an article about a rally from Fairbanks to the Arctic Ocean but it looks like the organizers set up temporary chargers on the dalton highway. I’m not looking to go to the Arctic Ocean (I’m sure the Jersey shore is much more exotic), just north of the arctic circle.

Wow, One Frunk Button later and Jim's navigating the arctic circle. Maybe I should deactivate mine!! How about a nice cruise down I-95 to Flagler Beach and call it a "Road Trip".

This sounds like an awesome adventure. I have worked alot in the North. You would have to do some research as far as charging goes, but if push comes to shove, you could always find a 120v outlet, and stay a while.

You could make your way to Vancouver B.C., head North to Whitehorse Yukon. Go North to Dawson City, and on to Inuvik North West Territory. From there you could dip your toes into the Arctic Ocean.

The only way to get further North is during the Winter Freeze up, and this is not advisable in a Battery Electric Car. See "Ice Road Truckers" Lol.

If you are successful, I expect you to turn around and drive all the way down to Tierra del Fuego to completely span the Americas! ? (This would be a cool trip, but not for BEVs yet).

With a gas car, you can have breakfast in Fairbanks in the morning, have lunch at a picnic table next to the Arctic Circle sign, then drive back to Fairbanks for dinner. For an EV, your only charging opportunity might be a pre-coordinated Level 1 at a run-down truck stop next to the Yukon River.

The road to arctic circle from Fairbanks is quite rough. There is one pit stop where you get in the remote area with gravel roads. That place is big for the location and sells hot noodles. You might be able to charge there. It took a whole Alaska summer day for the round trip starting at 7:30 am. I would think you need at least an Edge size SUV just to have a chance to keep the front bumper intact.
