I recently had a modem issue that was fixed my pulling the fuse. FordPass was not updating or connecting to my car.

I was previously using PAAK and noticed that bluetooth was constantly connected to my car. I have an attached garage with an open concept kitchen/living room. So if my phone is in the kitchen or living room, my phone is close enough to the car to be connected.

Would that cause an issue with the 12V battery draining or could that have caused my issues with the modem?

Thanks.

I am not the expert like some of the people on this forum but I would say no to both issues. Your PAAK close to the car may activate the puddle lights etc but they would go off. IMHO the only way this would drain the 12v would be if you lights came on and did not go off automatically. You have a 24 GT and I am pretty sure you don't have the headlight switch bug like some of us so I doubt that happened. As far as Modem I also do not believe that PAAK could have caused that. More than likely it was just one of those bugs that causes you to have to reboot. I have to reboot my modem about twice a year.

I have an attached garage and I keep my fob and phone just inside the door about 10' from my MME . The puddle lights do not light randomly. I've never pulled any fuse or disconnected the LVB. I've had the car for about 1.5 years with no problems. It is driven daily, so that could be a factor.
