Driving last night my headlights set on Auto they started going from high to low beam at very inappropriate times. Not dimming when approaching a car from behind until I was within 100 ft, etc. don’t know where the sensor is so maybe it is dirty or damaged. 2021 Job1

It appears that the auto-dimmer uses the front camera, because if that camera gets too dirty they stop working.

Personally, just returned from a 3,000+ mile trip that involved a LOT of night driving and I found the auto-dimmer working flawlessly, except for a time with a very dirty front lens.

My friend has a Tesla Model 3 and HATES his wiper/auto-bright functionality. He's commented several times how much better my MachE handles both (and I'm a fan myself). Agree one of your cameras are likely dirty.

I find it's overly sensitive in neighborhoods though. A porch light or strong reflector will also turn them off (probably by design)

My only issue with the auto headlights is slow speeds on dark roads. It needs to be around 30mph +/- to switch to high.....wish it would just switch on
