Headlights stay on

My car is at dealer for the pony projector staying off most of the time.
In the last few weeks we also noticed headlights stay on without any interaction.
I was the friend house, light snow. Another car parked behind my car and someone notice headlights on.
I had to go into car and fiddle with light switch to turn it off.
I mentioned this to the service dept.
Guy confirmed he saw this thing happened last night.
They had the car since yesterday morning.
I am hoping to pick it up today, no loaner.

Anyone else having phantom headlight issue?

It’s a known bug, and is resolved usually by turning the dial back to auto

I picked up the car. They ordered light switch module.
I hope that fixes it.
I don't want to be running to my car to turn off lights.
It could drain the LVB right?
Puddle light problems may be related to the same switch according to technician.

They can try the light switch, but supposedly there isn’t a fix yet.

FYI, it’s more than the switch though. When it’s doing it (lights staying on), NONE of the lights are lit up on the panel near the switch.

Yes, I have the same issue. Happens every now and then. When it happens, flip your lights to off off and then back to automatic. That’s the temporary fix until Ford figures out a permanent fix.

How long does the light stays on if you don't fiddle the switch?
If this does not drain the LVB, I can live with it.
I will watch for back light on the switch next time it happens.

They turn off after several minutes. Not something to be overly concerned about. You can hear the headlights on ding when you open the door so it’s pretty easy to pick up on the bug and reset it right away.

Exactly. Happened to me on my job2 CRT1 and the ding ding made me realize something was awry. Moved to on then auto and it fixed it.

please keep updated on any fix!
this morning I got a message in Fordpass along the lines of "your lights were left on and your battery capacity is now zero."
A few minutes of panic and getting ready to call Roadside Assist - turns out the car went into sleep mode and then started OK so not a big deal, but wasnt a pleasant period of time between getting the message and being able to check the car (was away from home so not near the charger!)

Have also noticed this issue in the past and its making me nervous...

Dealer never called back and we have not had this issue enough to bother.
Taught wife how to turn off the light if she hears ding ding when leaving the car.

Thanks for update. Will have to pay attention for that. I feel like the car makes a chime for all sorts of reasons when I exit so never really know if its related to lights, but I will try to figure that out. Is there a specific way to set the different things that make the exit chime, lights or otherwise?
