So knowing what everyone tells me, it's only available on 2021 models and removed thereafter. I was waiting for my son to come out of his drumming class and my daughter asks what the P button is for, I told her it just shows parking locations (never tried it, thats what everyone said and its not something that excited me enough to actually press). I pressed it to show her, and then noticed there was, in addition to the parking a button on screen that said parking assist. I clicked it and up came different methods of parking. I thought it must just be left over documentation from before. It had the three different types of parking options, reversing in, bay parking etc. I was in a normal car park with bays painted as usual. One of the options (parking in a bay) came up with drive forward and indicate left or right. I thought no way, so I repositioned the car to see what would happen, set the option again and drove forward as instructed. It only bloody worked! As I went past a car it asked me to stop and go into neutral and then press the P button, it drove into the bay.

I was under the impression that no cars with any packs had it based on what people in various different forums had said. I have parking assist in my 2023 AWD Premium!

Video for proof, but apologies for the excited shouting, I wasn't prepared and took me completely by surprise. I got a little overexcited.

Can anyone explain?

If I remember, only earlier 22s. My premium was April build and I have it, but I believe later that year they either didn’t turn it on or lacked the hardware.

We must not get nice things over here
Of course we don’t. Ford doesn’t trust us with advanced features like InstaClear. They even took heated wiper parking area away from us because we are “unworthy” ?

I sold Cadillac for a brief time and let me tell you I love the auto park especially on the Escalade! What’s instaclear? Now I I want it because we don’t have it ?

Ford changes the name periodically. It may be called QuickClear or something like that now. Ford originally developed it for the Lincoln Mark IV in the mid-1970s. Taurus/Sable launched with it in 1986. It’s been available across a wide range of Ford’s in Europe and the UK, but Ford pulled it from the NA market (I believe in the 1990s) for some unknown reason.

The question is what was it?
