So today I was running late and driving/accelerating pretty aggressively and multiple times I got a message on the screen that AWD was disabled and often there was no more power or even less power the more I pushed the accelerator. I was wondering if this is normal behavior for the car to protect itself, the battery, motors etc from overheating or... Is this concerning? Recently had a hvjb failure and replacement. 2021 Mach E premium AWD first edition. After a few minutes of less aggressive driving it would say AWD restored.

The front motor on the non-GT-models does not have enough cooling for continous use (by design) and will shut of if when overheated to prevent damage, which will give that message until it cools down. It is only used in low speed and during hard acceleration or wheel slip is detected, so probably not something to be concerned about
