Hey- Great community, thank you....I just wanted to pick the collective braintrust here.

My First EV 2022 Mach E GT AWD Picked up approx 4/20/22 and has 1400 miles, I dont have a set up at home and my charging is done at 150kw stations. I like the 1-pedal drive mode and primarily use it- Overall the car has been great with nothing of major concern.

About 2 weeks ago I was driving- Thank God, at about a speed of what I would assume to be 35MPH on a quiet road and the car went 'haywire' and I lost the ability to power steer or break and coasted to the side whilst flashing a few warnings. The car had to be towed to the dealership & they gave me a rental car and sent me on my way.

About a week later I get a call telling me that there is an issue with the break wire/connector- I was further notified that the part was on backorder and they were trying to find a dealer that had it stock and expedite the process . I mentioned to the service advisor that I had read in public news source about the recall, he had told me that it was news to him and he will advise.

I get a call that my car is ready this morning- They were able to source the parts and change the parking brake connectors.
The SA advised me that they cannot do anything about the Advance recall and I should come pick up my car.

Should I be concerned that something here is being overlooked?

Thank you

Why? They say it's fixed and ready to go.

You lost the ability to break or brake? I’m all for not breaking. Though I do love a good coffee break. Kidding aside. I would trust it is resolved based on the dealer troubleshooting and whatever codes they were able to read. Not to say you won’t have the contactor failure as well later on.

There is currently no fix available for the advanced notice of recall. The dealer did nothing wrong. Also, the problem described does not match up with the problems resulting from the welding of the HVBJB connectors.

If your car is working now and it was just a wiring harness it does not have anything to do with the recall issue. Get back out there sand drive!

Be nice to your dealer when you pick up the car -- you'll be perhaps visiting them again if the OTA with the recall doesn't take ..... or when your HVBJB is fried despite Ford's efforts to delay the failure.

But dealer cannot perform the recall yet because Ford has told everyone something software-y is coming, but hasn't provided the software or instructions to the dealers as of yet.

You had the parking brake wire connector issue mentioned in TSB 22-2143. This is completely separate from the HVBJB recall, so you will have to have that addressed when the fix is available.

Continue to drive the car normally and wait for the software fix.

This has been said many times, but just because your car stops moving doesn't mean it's because of a bad HVBJB. There are a lot of other problems that can trigger a stop safely now or prevent you from driving.
