Drove in to work today about 44 miles. Stopped for coffee about a mile from work. Got back in the car after getting coffee and noticed I have about 50% power (as indicated by the grey bars).

There are no errors indicated in the car, and none in FordPass. The entire drive I only had about 1 grey bar, as its in the upper 30s at my house. Then BAM, 50% power.

Once I finished my drive to work, I tried turning it off and on, and its still at 50%. We'll see how it is when I leave here in 12 hours.

Anyone seen this WITHOUT any errors being produced?

Yeah, when it's cold and your vehicle is cold (not preconditioned), low SoC, higher speeds are conditions I've seen it so far. a week or so ago we were in the 20s in the morning and it had full power when I left for the gym and reduced power leaving. It was preconditioned leaving from the garage but then when I left the gym it no longer was and it was cold. Suspect that's what happened in your case. Car lost its heat.

What was your battery % and approximate temperature when this happened?

I started off at 90% at home, preconditioned, about 39F outside. Once I got to my destination, it was in the high 40s, at 78%.

I don't remember seeing the power reduction when I got out to go get coffee, but I don't specifically remember checking, but i can almost guarantee I only had the 1 grey bar that I would expect. When I got back in to finish my drive, I saw the 50% power reduction/grey bars.

My GT does the same. Can turn car off for just a few minutes, and when I restart I have ~10 gray bars. It will go away after driving for a few minutes (assuming when the battery warms). Some other GT owners have not reported seeing this, but I do, pretty much every time.

Aaah okay. My drive to work from the coffee place is about a mile, so it may not have been long enough to get the battery back to normal. As long as its a (in the words of Demuro) "quirk" of the car, and not a defect in my own, I'm fine with it.

It seems like they just severely limit the power of the GTs compared to other models. I mean, it is quicker, but they limit it so it isn't even at the same power level as a Premium AWD when its cold out? Why don't they do it to all models?

It goes away once the battery warms up. Its pretty close if not identical to Premium AWD when its cold. Drive a few miles (or preheat the battery) and its full power.

Because the other models don't get that boost to begin with. It's not like they are reducing the GT/PE's power to BELOW other models...they just have less boost than they normally get.

It definitely IS power reduced below other models. Heck, sometimes mine is reduced below my daughters scooter. No errors. Service manager at dealer can’t give me answers.

It's cold and you're driving fast. And that power is likely exactly the sort of power the others models will be providing as well they just don't show you the reduction bar.

Was the vehicle fully warmed up? External temp? How fast were you going? I don't think I have ever seen that many bars on mine, or if so, for only very brief times. Usually worst I see is about 2/3 that many bars. That typically happens on cold start, where I didn't precondition/start or charge beforehand.

This was about 30 miles into my daily 44 mile trip home from work. When started, after sitting outside work in 30deg, there were maybe 3-4 bars. Then they will come and go as I drive but after I came to stop light and made a right turn, then all of a sudden this. No jamming on the pedal or trying to out run someone.

Bizarre. I have never seen anything like that. I wouldn't worry about it unless you start seeing it regularly.
