Hello, all ...
Yesterday, 3 errors displayed in my FordPass app, all pretty much at the same time:
1. Powertrain malfunction / reduced power
2. Pre-collision assist not available (also showed in the car)
3. Restraints indicatror lamp warning
I had my laptop in the passenger front seat, so maybe that triggered #3? There was no obstruction on the grill (that I could see, anyway) wrt #2, but I wiped hte camera with a cloth anyway. #1 concerns me, though, as the 3 year / 36K mile warranty expires next month. All warnings have since disappeared.
The battery is 8 / 100K and the powertrain is 5 / 60K apparently. Has anyone here experience with warning #1? If so, was this the harbinger of an actual powertrain problem and, if so, was it covered under the 5 / 60K powertrain warranty?
Regards,
John
P.S. I remember when I had a similar message in my old Model 3. Before I had an opportunity to call them (this was on a road trip), they called _me_ to schedule a service appointment the day after I saw the message, which was both appreciated from a safety perspective and somewhat concerning from a privacy one.
