Since I have not used it since setting it up, I seem to have forgotten my start passcode. Chalk it up to CRS. The owners manual seems to want me to reset Paak which I don't really want to screw with since it works great. I'm a firm believer if it's not broken don't fix it. Is there a way to reset the backup start code without a total reset? Or am I doomed to start over again and take the risk.

Actually finally able to find it! It's easy once you know where to look. No need to redo Ford Pass.

But, I'm going to keep it a secret...

What's the required format for the password, anyone know? My dealer's "tech guys" didn't. I would like to devise one that's easier to type in than one of my easy to remember utility passwords

I'm having both the problems with starting the car with my PAAK and am unable to create a backup start code. I can open the door with my PAAK but then get the "no key detected" error when i try to start the car. When i go to the backup start code heading in the settings setion, it is greyed out. I remember someone from Ford has been on here before, asking for VINs and offering to help. Anybody have suggestions? Thanks.

Hi there. Can you send us a DM with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into this for you.
