Do the battery modules inside the battery pack discharge at an equal rate, or do they discharge one-by-one? The thought occured to me today that if it were the case that they discharge one-by-one then it should be easier for the chiller to manage the temperature of a battery that has a low charge, than a fully charged battery.

When I was in Death Valley earlier this month I noticed that there was no dip in A/C performance and the car had no trouble getting around... then I remembered that I was cruizing in the area with a 10% - 20% charge the whole time since the resort wasn't that far away.

Just curious.

Within a module they are wired together in series, and the modules are wired together in parallel. So they all discharge together.

The car routinely attempts to balance the voltage between all modules.

And they’re all colled by a common cooling plate on the bottom of the battery. No individual cell cooling. Tesla uses a continuous loop snaked around their cells, but they all still cool/warm together as well.
