Anyone else running into this issue?

I plug my car in each night on 240 volt outlet with the portable charger supplied with the Mach-E. I have found that my car consistently fails to charge unless I check the FordPass app after the scheduled start time.
This failure has not been an issue as I can get back and forth to my office for several days without needing to charge, and there are plenty of high speed chargers along my route.
BUT, it's a frustration.

Many people have charging issues.

Have you set your home location?

Have you set charging hours?

Have you set a max percentage?

What charger are you using?

My car charges most nights without me having to check the app but every once in a while it does like you describe. In the 13 months with this car it's happened around 5 or 6 times I think.
What is far more common for me is the departure time does not execute unless I check the FordPass app. Again, not every time but it is fairly regular. Maybe 3 days a week it will fail unless I check the FordPass app.

So far to date, I have never seen the Deep Sleep message on my FP app so I don't know if my car goes to sleep or not. There might be a Soft Sleep mode that might cause the vehicle to miss it's charge window or departure time?

There might be an update to remedy this issue. Not sure since I have only received a few updates over the air and none of them did much of anything except change the way my Sync screen looks.

I went a few weeks where this happened every night. About 15 minutes after the set start time, I get a notification "Scheduled charge did not begin". After that it was fine for 2 months. Now the last 2 nights it has started doing this again.

Just opening the app doesn't work for me. I have to do something to actually get the car to respond. Doing a remote start and then stopping it once it is started is what I did last night and that worked. Going out to the car and unplugging it and plugging it back in, or even just pushing the button next to the charge port will cause it to instantly click on and start charging with the schedule.

I've reported this to Ford with no update on a potential fix, or even any idea what may be causing it, just "we're looking into it"

Yes to all of the above. It's set to start charging at 9 am. I try to check every night and it is consistently "waiting to charge" at 10:30 or 11 when I am going to bed. I refresh the app and it starts charging. When it does start the % is exactly what it was when I pulled into my driveway, so it's not charging but not telling my app.

Once I logged in at 6 am to set my departure time and that kicked off the charging cycle.

I'm using the portable charger that comes with the car.

A couple times I have had to unplug, then plug in to get charging started when it didn’t start at the preset time. For me this behavior started after I got CSP 21P22 applied. I have it set to charge from 9pm to 5am on weekdays and anytime on weekends. I also use the Ford Mobile charger but typically I only plug in once or twice a week.
