Battery Pre-condition Button Option

Has anyone received an update that adds a “On Demand Conditioning” button?

I don't think such a thing exists - at least not as described in that Ford document.

• If you’re heading toward a DC fast charging station (using your vehicle’s navigation), your battery will now start to warm up within 20 miles of your destination. This allows the battery to accept a charge at a faster rate in cold weather when you have excess heater capacity, getting you back on the road. Remember, you must enter your fast charging station into the Navigation System in order for preheating to work.

I don’t think this does what we wish it would…a button to precondition regardless of navigation app.

I wonder if this will start to work with the Apple Maps & CarPlay integration. In an update this week I now see distance to destination under the battery miles remaining on the instrument cluster. No reason that couldn’t glean if the vehicle is heading to a charging station and start to precondition.

I wanted to check this out so, as suggested, I opened my FordPass App> vehicle> features & (mine is only) settings> software update. Yesterday, nothing. Today, nothing; it just says "unable to retrieve update details."
Has this happened to anyone else?

If you click the link the description is different than what we have today. But I’m guessing that these updates have not been released yet.

Mine is saying the same thing, as is ford.com under my account. But, that doesn’t bother me. The update information is accessible on the big screen in the car. I know, I received 3, count ‘em, 3, OTAs this past week. The most recent is the driver attention monitor update and it’s the one whose additional information isn’t displaying on FP or ford.com

Again, I don’t think it really matters if we can’t read the update details on FP since the car can tell you on its screen.

And it says November 2023, so it's behind by 9 months or more. Wow. Given that it's a mostly winter benefit, to miss an entire winter is pretty lame.

I’ve had that particular update since around December if I remember correctly. Unfortunately it doesn’t pre-condition. Before I left on my latest trip, I saved the locations in Ford Nav. I used Apple Maps to navigate to the charge stop, and about 50 miles before the stop, I switched from Apple to Ford. Never had such consistently fast charging in three years and multiple road trips. I didn’t bother with it for hotel L2 stops.

Still hoping for either all map integration, or just an easily accessible Sync precondition button.
